Zachariah was in the middle of putting his shoes on, as he held a letter in between his teeth. This kind of pose and rush didn’t really help his cause, as getting anything done with the shoes just ended to no avail. Eris rushed from the living room, wearing a backpack on his back as he egressed from the back of the foyer.
Eris: I’m here, I’m here! Sorry. Forgot my phone- - he explained hastily, right when he came to a halt upon witnessing Zachariah in a moment of struggle.

The man was in the middle of taking small jumps as he put on the other shoe, not even looking at Eris. His brows were more puffed than usual, and it was just enough for Eris to roll his eyes with a wide smile and walk over. Upon kneeling down, he forced their gazes to meet. Zachariah couldn’t hide his surprise, and quickly watched Eris’ hand that he pulled into the air.
Eris: Let me help you with that – he would offer, which was met with a small nod from Zach.
Straightening himself up, Eris put his free hand on the hip as he continued on.
Eris: I never thought you’re a post office boy – he smiled, flipping the letter to look on the back. It wasn’t with the intention to snoop around Zachariah’s recipients, so before he could see anything he was quick to relax his arm. Zachariah only shook his head gently, still looking down to finally tie his shoes at ease.
Zachariah: I’m really not.
Eris: I know, I know – he paused – I’m just messing with you.

A sudden realisation hit the younger man, and he was quick to fix his glasses by a gentle press on the bridge. He eyed his jacket on the wall: it hung right behind Zachariah, who just straightened himself up.
Eris: Right.
Zachariah brushed his dress pants off as he raised a brow, watching Eris. The other man started to put down the backpack, not letting go of the letter. He noticed Zach standing up with the corner of his eye which prompted him to stretch out his arm.
Eris: Can you hold it? I will put my jacket on, I’m already so layered I didn’t realise.

Zachariah looked behind himself and reached out fo the jacket. They suddenly could hear knocking.
Zachariah: It’s probably Jeanette.
Eris: Come in! - he called and watched Zachariah start walking again, just to stop behind him and widen the jacket.
Eris: oh. You didn’t have to. But thanks.
Jeanette gently opened the door, walking in with her head low and posture slouched.
Jeanette: Hey guys-
Eris: Heya!

She would quickly stop in front of the doors after she’s closed them, staring straight at the two. Eris was in the middle of pulling his free arm into the sleeve, right about to switch hands with the letter and do the same with the other. All with Zachariah close to him.
Jeanette couldn’t help but cross her arms.
Jeanette: Eris, Zach – she exhaled – seriously now. Are you going out or not?
They looked surprised at her.
Zachariah: Of course. Jeanette, we literally planned to go out together.
