Touch

For gods that do not embody regular matter, touch is the most sacred of all senses.

It may be approached in multiple ways.

Temperature.

Energy exchange. The nexus of dark matter burns hotter than any thousands of stars at once. The void is absolute zero. What do they become as they meet? What shoreline, what surface; which horizon marks their division?

Gravitation.

A failed attempt as the void-god does not heed this law. He is unable to heed the pull of matterstuff around him, though his being tears all things apart.

Resonance.

The most beautiful attempt in the form of half-songs that breach the spaces between reality. It bears sound, sight, and energy, and can be woven into dance. It allows their communion.

Pain.

The evolutionary advantage of all living creatures. The act of breaching natural laws may harm the ones who violate them before they are destroyed.

Pleasure.

The tether that binds all living things to evolution. There is no banishing of it.

Axion had thought to propose the idea to Xenes after the first star was born in the seventh universe. Since they had met, he had engineered ways in which they could exist, as well as attempted to define the measures of existence itself. There was no code to follow; there were no nucleotides to govern their lives. The only significance behind their actions was their intent. He intended to know Xenes, and intended to offer himself in return. Energy exchange must occur in two systems.

They would exchange secrets, and the act would form a solution for the problem of infinity.

So he hoped.

Typically coupled with ontology. The manipulation of matter and reality through resonance to touch; combine; entangle; bond.

Re-being, the final and unsurpassable connection.

(A star’s life cycle is defined by violent change. Imagine...going into a star. In order to understand it completely, you rip away the layers, the bonds, to reveal the core...and take everything apart, atom by atom, in order to fully understand every particulate of everything; its entire makeup, its whole being…)

What? Will they even survive that?
