The horned creature stalked through the trees, staying wary of the broken down shack of sorts in the marsh- Sorus was particularly territorial today. Or night. It was hard to tell what time it was in the green haze- not that it mattered. He was just hungry. Always hungry. He looked up, the multiple eyes on his wretched face dilating when he saw a figure in the distance. Food. He instantly clambered up one of the trees, slipping towards the blurry figure like a swift shadow. The closer he came the thicker the sweet, sweet smell of flesh got. Without a second thought he dropped down in front of the figure, belting out a hideous, blood-curdling screech. The figure, however, didn’t waver. He didn’t scream, or run, or even collapse. He didn’t even flinch. He noticed the oddly familiar blonde hair, mussed by thickened, dried blood running down it and his face.. He shouldn’t have been standing. But he was. His one green eye looked up at his terrifying face, and blinked- once, twice. No fear- just confusion. Then, as calmly as he’d looked up at him, he held out his hand, reaching out for his scaly one to turn it over curiously. Thasvan didn’t even know how to react- he was frozen himself- confused. Never had any kind of prey ever reached out towards him. They’d never tried to touch him. The figure simply studied his hand for a moment before looking back up at his face, tilting his head slightly. “....Dad?” His voice was soft and hoarse- but the word struck him and left him breathless. Slowly, he lowered his stance, not quite understanding what in this figure had tamed him so easily- but he didn’t resist the hand that brushed against his face, and then his hair. It was soothing- in a way he hadn’t realized he was so angry until now...and now...he was calm.
