Kiara's always been around animals ever since she was young. Her parents, Akira and Pete, run a no-kill animal shelter/wildlife sanctuary, and she enjoyed helping out with small tasks after school. Even more so, Kiara loved learning about all the different kinds of animals! Kiara heard a lot of animal related puns and jokes from her parents, and people who came in to adopt an animal. She loved a lot of the jokes, so she decided to share them with friends around school. Because of this, Kiara soon learned she loved being the center of attention. The shelter was able to have all kinds of different animals, from dogs, to mice, to snakes, and they even rescued bigger animals from sad fates. Kiara was always amazed at how her parents could handle wild animals, and It always made her happy to see them get the care they needed before they were released back into the wild. As Kiara grew up, she started helping more and more, and she eventually got to help out with wild animals, and was able to help release them back into the wild.

Kiara didn't normally get along with her twin sister Azalea. While Kiara had fun working with her parents, all Azalea seemed to do was want to have fun. She didn't like how AZ would pretend to be her sometimes, or tell the animals to make it harder for her to do her job. It wasn't always hard to get along thankfully. When they did agree, Kiara liked spending time with her sister.

During high school, Kiara made a group of good friends that she still talks to today, and one of those friends was named Ari. They started hanging out and eventually Kiara wanted to show him and her friends the animal shelter. While there, Kiara introduced her friends to her parents, and she was shocked when it looked like Pete and Ari knew each other. Pete explained to her that Ari is his son, and that Kiara and Ari were half siblings. Kiara was pretty happy with the news, and she was glad she had another sibling! The two keep in contact and still hang out every so often.

After graduating high school, Kiara started working at the shelter. She got even more attached the all of the animals there, and made herself a promise. She was going to try and find each animal a forever home. During one of the days she was helping the wildlife, a fennec fox was lost and wondering around the reserve. Kiara noticed his back leg was injured and took him inside to fix him up. She got attached to the little guy and named him Miles. Kiara decided to keep him, and took him home with her. Miles can always be seen with Kiara while she's working at the shelter, and has been trained to helped around a little.
