Round Four Speedrun

“Why do you hate him so much?”

The question in itself was innocent enough, however it was spoken by the scientist with a tone of disgust and hatred, as the demon huffed. 

“Do I really need to spell it out for you? He’s the entire reason both of us are here. He fucked us over, and he made us seem like the bad guys.” Arche crossed his arms. 

“Sammi has done nothing to cause either of us to be here. We are both here because of what’s happened to us.” The demon scoffed. 

“You’re a fucking moron, has anyone told you that?” Arche rolled his eyes, and looked out into the void. 

“I hear it all the time,” he fired back, “But I’m the one who still has a wife.” Bryce huffed. 

“I don’t need a wife! I get more action without her! Do you know how many girlfriends I’ve got?” The scientist narrowed his eyes. 

“Zero. We are in the void. We are beyond space and time, and we-“

“Three! I have three girlfriends; and yes, they all smoke weed. And you know what? They play video games with me! We play Halo, Fortnite, and Valorant.” 

Arche sneered.

“You don’t have any girlfriends. Dating someone through a video game doesn’t count.” The demon rolled his eyes. 

“I’m not taking from someone who can’t even fuck.” The other man looked offended.

“I fucked your wife, and I’ll do it again, asshole!”

“Yeah, but you can’t fuck anymore, jackass.”

“That’s not how chemical castration even works, you goddamn idiot!” 

The two shouted more vulgar nonsense about each other while being held down by a sleeping nogi for some time, before Bryce eventually snapped. 

“At least I kept all of my kids alive, freak!”

Arche immediately fell silent at this, his eyes wide and staring at Bryce. The demon, on the other hand, kept going. 

“How fucking dumb are you? Sammi of all people can melt a wall in a second, but you can’t get out to save your twenty something kids from getting shot? Stop bitching and moaning about it like it isn’t your fault!!” 

The scientist felt tears of rage swell up in his eyes, as he forced Nogi off of him with all of the strength that he had. The sleeping fox didn’t notice as he stormed towards Bryce, his hand balled into a fist.

“Keep them out of your fucking mouth,” he hissed to the demon. Bryce scoffed. 

“Or what? You’ll kill me like you killed your kids?”

Arche had it at that point. He forcefully grabbed Bryce by his arm, ripping him out from underneath Nogi. The demon yelped, and tore away from the other man, before standing up to prepare to fight. Arche could barely see with tears streaming down his face, as he swung at Bryce wildly, missing each hit. 

“FUCK YOU- YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A FATHER! YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO LOVE YOUR CHILD- TO LOVE YOUR SON! ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS POWER; YOU FREAK!” Bryce dodged every punch with ease, and laughed in the man’s face. 

“You think you’re better than me? You can’t hold yourself together for more than an hour. You really think you’re important because you’re rich? Temmie only slept with you for money. She’ll always love me more; because I gave her a kid that we kept alive.” Arche screamed, continuing his attempts to attack Bryce. 

“SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP!! I OWN YOU! I OWN EVERYONE- I CONTROL LIFE AND DEATH- I CONTROL WHERE AND WHEN A PERSON DIES! I COULD KILL YOU!” Bryce swiftly punched Arche in the throat, knocking the enraged man to the ground. 

“Wow. You’re really fucking pathetic. I don’t know what Temmie saw in you. I know why Sammi likes you; you’re both equally worthless.” Arche sobbed, and grabbed the sides of his head, ripping out sections of his hair. 

“SHUT UP! I… I DIDN’T KILL THEM! I DIDN’T… I… I didn’t…” the man sunk down onto his knees and sobbed loudly, hitting his head over and over with his fists. Bryce felt partially satisfied from winning- but also partially disgusted at Arche’s meltdown; despite having caused it. Nogi was awake now, watching over the two silently. Bryce had won this round; and he knew it. He stood boldly over the sobbing man, as Nogi glared down at him. 

Are you satisfied?

Bryce jumped, and looked back towards Nogi. His smile faded. 

“Listen…”

I’m not arguing whether or not he deserved it. You both deserve to suffer. But do you feel satisfied from this?

The man slowly nodded, and huffed. 

“Why shouldn’t I? He ruined my life.” Nogi sat their back paws down, as they used their right front paw to gently tap Arche. 

I’m not surprised by anything either of you do or say. But I am always disappointed.

Bryce shrugged, and looked over to Arche. 

“… Anyways. While we wait for him to calm down, can we play Mario kart?”
