Chapter 1

How does your character think of their parents? What do they hate and love about them? What influence - literal or imagined - did they have?

Sieg never got to meet their parents unfortunately, they don't resent them or desperately want to reunite or anything but they're definitely curious about what their parents must have been like. Their absence probably did play a role in why Siegfried became so attention seeking though.

Siblings? Who do they like? Why? What do they despise about their siblings? What type of discipline was your character subjected to at home? Strict? Lenient?

Grew up in an orphanage and considered all the other kids their siblings. The people running it were a little strict but not abusive and Sieg, always a trouble maker, was subject to a lot of extra chores and an occasional missed dinner growing up.

Were they overprotected as a child? Sheltered?

Not really, orphanage rules like chores and curfew aside he had free reign to go out into the world so long as he didn’t cause *too* much trouble.

Did they feel rejection or affection as a child?

A bit of both, while Sieg doesn’t resent their parents growing up with the knowledge that you were possibly abandoned kind of stings. But the orphanage staff were always nice and took care of them growing up and they’re grateful for that.

What was the economic status of their family?

Growing up his financial status was.....The orphanage wasn’t particularly poor or anything but he wasn’t afforded the same kind of luxuries other kids got. But he had a warm bed, clothes on his back, and 3 square meals a day if he didn’t do anything too stupid so he couldn’t complain much.

How does your character feel about religion?

Absolutely convinced Valhalla exists and that if he dies in glorious combat he’ll be accepted into it but nothing much other than that.

|s your character street-smart, book-smart, intelligent, intellectual, slow-witted?

Siegfried is so so fucking stupid. This is a charm point. He does, however, have a sharp intuition and can get a read on people really well. Despite this he is just barely literate.

‘What does your character do for a living? How do they see their profession? What do they like about it? Dislike?

Traveling mercenary or something like that, fighting aside he’ll take odd jobs here and there if he needs the cash. He mostly sees it as a stepping stone to fame, all legends have to start somewhere and one day he’ll make a name for himself so big he can travel all the way back to his home planet to meet with his old instructor and have her tell him how proud she is to have taught such an amazing pupil.

‘Who are their friends? Lovers? Type’ or ‘ideal’ partner? What do they want from a partner? What do they think and feel of sex?

Everyone is Siegfried’s friend unless they’re a “Bad Guy” or explicitly tell him to his face that they do NOT like him. He might not be the nicest guy around but he considers himself on friendly terms with most people. As for his ideal type....Appearance wise *gestures to astrid.* Generally speaking he wants someone affectionate, supportive, and willing to play the part of his hypeman when he does something cool. Bonus points if they’re shorter than him and “cute” in some capacity. Siegfried doesn’t know what sex is.

How easy or difficult is it for your character to say“I love you" Can they say it without meaning it?

Definitely can’t say it without meaning it and just barely manages to stutter the words out when he’s being serious. He can say it more easily when there’s less fear of being rejected though.

What is your character's weaknesses? Hubris? Pride? Controlling?

Hubris, Sieg is cocky as all shit and the type to bite off more than they can chew by springing into action without thinking. I cannot stress enough they are fucking stupid. He’s also very easy to goad or manipulate if you appeal to his sense of pride, need for attention, or general desire to play the hero.

‘Are they holding on to something in the past? Can he or she forgive?

Sieg can definitely forgive unless he felt completely humiliated by whatever was done to him, or if it was some completely fucked up and inhumane action. Otherwise he’ll hold grudges and won’t let them go. Also depends on the sincerity of the apology, like I said Sieg is good at reading people.

How does your character react to stress situations? Defensively? Aggressively? Evasively?

50% Aggressive 50% Defensive, it’s easy to set off his temper and get him to start fighting you on something but whenever he feels like he’s actually in the wrong he’ll quickly start making up excuses to defend himself.

Do they drink? Take drugs? What about their health?

Siegfried took the pledge to never do drugs in (military) school and refuses to go back on it because thats his ninja way #dattebayo. Absolutely does not take good care of his health, this man is a disaster. Has probably drank before but hates the taste of most alcoholic drinks.

Do they like to suffer? Like to see other people suffering?

Definitely doesn’t like to suffer and only likes making people suffer in the context of “I’m the good guy punishing the bad guys.” He loves combat but doesn’t necessarily derive any pleasure from *hurting* people or making them miserable.

‘What does your character want most? What do they need really badly, compulsively? What are they willing to do, to sacrifice, to obtain?

Recognition and attention. He’s willing to risk his life if it means he can be famous, if he can do good and be praised for it in return. He wants to be a hero to *somebody* one day, if not the whole galaxy’s hero. Parentless behavior.

|s your character tall? Short? What about size? Weight? Posture? How do they feel about their physical body?

Tall! Muscular but not super beefy. Pretty proud of himself, prosthetic half of his face and all.

Has your character ever fired a gun? If so, what was their first target?

Has fired a gun before but is not particularly fond of ranged combat. First target was a practice dummy at the academy but his first flesh and blood target was some thug who chose the wrong guy to jump one night. He didn’t kill him but the guy got a beating on top of a bullet wound before Siegfried left him to the authorities

|s your character's current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?

Yeah, not by a huge amount but he’s got enough money to afford luxuries like ssc licenses.......but he totally blew all his savings on that metalmark so he’s actually been living kinda frugally since he got it.

In What ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?

Self criticism, while Siegfried’s boastful his brand of narcissism is less “im better than everyone because they suck” and more “I’m better than everyone because I’m sooo fucking awesome” like astrid he channels these criticisms in a more productive manner by using them to fuel his competitive spirit.

How does your character normally deal with confrontation

Embraces it and goes the aggressive route most of the time. You got a problem? Well go on and say it to his face so he can tell you why he’s right
