Setting up the Farm

Bunny and Katie reach the piece of land that Professor Hemlock had provided them and they look around the place they shall now call home. Setting down the boxes that they were holding, they walk towards the small house and open the door. Walking in they take a look around the small space they start exploring. The house has two bedrooms and one bath as well as a small yard for their pokemon to play in. Walking out into the back yard Katie is thrilled to find a small garden plot where she can start growing her crops right away. The girls are so ecstatic as this home seems to be a good start and has everything they will need to begin their new lives. The girls split up to start setting up their own areas and to prepare everything for their new lives here in Lera.

Katie-

Katie goes back outside and picks up her box and duffle bag Tommy hot on her heels as she heads back into the house. Walking into the bedroom on her left she sets her things down on the floor. Looking at the room she will now call her own. She kneels on the floor and opens her box before looking around the room once more . There is a simple twin bed, a dresser with three drawers and a desk. -I’ll have to gather some more furniture and maybe some trinkets to make this feel like home- Katie decides. “Come on Tommy let’s unpack,” she says, pulling the picture of her and Bunny from when they were children out of the box with a smile. Standing she walks over to the desk and sets the picture down carefully before heading back to the box to finish unpacking. 

Bunny-

Bunny skips out of the house more excited then she has been in years, -finally a new life. One where I can be with my sister.- She snatches up her box and suitcase before practically running back into the house with a giant smile on her face. Speed walking she throws the door to the room on her right open and declares, “this is our new room Fleecie to start our new life!” Fleecie just looks up at her and then sighs as if to say her trainer is too much sometimes. Bunny sets down her box and suitcase and quickly tears the tape off the box pulling it open. She reaches into the box and pulls out an old photo in a frame, “I’m glad this didn’t get damaged,” she says. It’s a photo of her and Katie from when they were children. Standing up she walks over to the dresser and sets it on top. With a giant smile she walks back to her things to finish unpacking. 

Katie-

After unpacking she heads out to the back yard with Tommy ready to prep the garden for some crops. “What shall we grow Tommy,” she asks the nonchalant Glameow. He just looks up at her and meows before going to lay under a tree to take a nap. She smiles at him then pulls out her gardening tools to start prepping the garden, -I think a good start would be berries.- She takes her trowel and starts preparing the soil. Once she decides it is ready she sets the trowel down and dusts off her hands turning to her bag she pulls out some seed packets. “What type of berries should we grow first,” she ponders aloud. She decides upon Oran, Pecha and Sitrus berries to start off with. “Two to heal and one to cure poisoning just in case,” she says to herself with a small smile on her face. She carefully plants the seeds then stands and picks up her watering can going into the house to fill it. 

Bunny-

“Come on Fleecie let’s go explore the space so we can see where to build a fence and small pasture,” Bunny says excitedly picking up her Buneary. Skipping her way through the house and out the back door she sees Katie working on the small garden in the back. “She looks like she’s having fun,” she hums to herself before turning to explore the yard and a bit of the surrounding area. Setting Fleecie down she pulls a measuring tape out of her small bag. “Lets measure some of the area to decide where a fence shall go,” Bunny says looking at Fleecie. The buneary nods and takes the other end of the measuring tape going to the spot where her trainer pointed to. They spend the next few hours measuring and jotting down the measurements and materials they will need to build the fencing and a small house for the pokemon. After all the measurements are done they head back to the house as the sun is starting to set and they are getting hungry. 

Both-

They both meet in the kitchen and talk about what to make for supper as they haven’t gone to get groceries yet.”I saw a small shop in town that seemed to be selling vegetables. Why don’t I go get some so we can make a salad,” Katie says. Bunny nods and says, “I saw another shop that seemed to be selling cooking supplies and things so I can go check that out.” The two nod to each other before collecting their bags and heading out. It only takes a few minutes to get into town and once they are there they nod to each other and split up.

Katie- 

As she walks through the streets she takes in the sights around the town. Seeing all the shops and quests posted to the board she smiles, “this is amazing,” she whispers to Tommy who rubs up against her leg. It only takes a few minutes for her to reach the small vegetable shop. Entering, she is greeted by the employee behind the counter and she greets them back. Looking around she starts picking out some vegetables, setting them in the small basket she picked up at the door. Katie picks out carrots, peppers, broccoli and some snap peas thinking how nice it would be to make some stir fry for supper. Walking up to the counter she sets down the basket and unloads her haul on the counter top. 

“Hello, “ she greets the worker, “I would like to purchase these.” The worker nods, “of course ma’am,” they reply as they start counting her vegetables and putting numbers into the register. It isn’t more than a few moments before the employee finishes their count, “That will be 450pd today would you like a bag for your items?” they ask. Katie smiles at the person and says, “I would love a bag,” she opens her wallet and pulls out the money before handing it over in exchange for the bag of veggies. “Would you like your receipt today ma’am,” the employee asks her. “That would be great thank you,” she answers them. Tommy meows up at her as she finishes the interaction, “let’s go Tommy,” she says in answer picking up the kitty as she holds her grocery bag in her other hand. 

Walking out the store she looks around and sees a small stall across the street that seems to be selling some rice and beans as well as a few other things. She beams and walks over setting her Glameow done on the ground before looking over the goods for sale. It doesn’t take long for her to barter with the stall owner to get some rice and beans. After paying she thanks them and loops the bag on the arm with the other one picking Tommy back up. “Let’s head back to the others Tommy,” she says glee in every word while they make their way back to the meet up spot.

Bunny-

With Fleecie in her arms she quickly weaves through the town to the small grocery shop she had seen upon arrival. It doesn’t take her long to get there and she is quick to go inside, setting her buneary by her feet. Looking around she sees a stack of baskets and picks one up quickly starting to look over the shelves at what the store had to offer. She hums as she goes through the store putting things in her shopping basket. Some of the things she grabs are sauces and spices. Nearing the counter with her haul she feels a tug on her boot looking down she sees Fleecie staring at a display that has some poffins in it. 

“Want one?” Bunny asks her baby girl. The buneary nods letting drool drip down her chin. Bunny smiles before picking one up and placing it on the top of the tower she had in her basket and walks up to the counter. “Hi,” she exclaims to the employee behind the counter. “I would like to purchase these things,” she says as she unloads her basket and the employee starts scanning things. It takes almost 5 minutes to get everything scanned, put in bags then totalled up. The employee looks at her and says, “That will be 960pd today.” She nods at the employee and grabs her wallet, opening it and grabbing her money out. Bunny quickly counts out the amount and hands over the pd to pay for the goods she was purchasing.

The employee recounts the money before putting it in the register and wishing her a good day. Heading back out into the street she fishes through the bags and pulls out the poffin. Fleecie makes a sound of absolute glee, taking the poffin in her arms and following after her beloved trainer. Bunny just smiles as they walk back to the others who were waiting for them at the meet up point.

Both-

The sisters meet up and start on their way home Katie commenting on the poffin Fleecie is holding. Bunny smiles at her and says it wasn’t a lot and the buneary was super good during the shopping trip. The elder sister smiles at the younger one as they make the rest of the way to their home. Once the girls are inside they quickly set up the kitchen and take care of the groceries before Katie starts on supper. Katie is a very good cook and it only takes her one hour to make the stir fry and rice. The girls and pokemon happily eat Fleecie saving her poffin to eat as dessert Tommy wandering off to go sleep upon his trainer’s bed. The sisters clean up and look outside to see the starry sky and decide it has been a good day and that it was time to bed. Saying goodnight to each other they head off to their separate rooms to rest for the night. Thinking about how wonderful their new life already was.
