There were a million things to say about Kugane, but nobody argued on it's beauty. As the sunlight rippled across it, skating its fingers across the realm in one final bowing out until the morning. Perched gently on the rooftops, her hands reached out to let the wind wash over her, ever vigilant, she had to be, but in a weird sense of calm. Perhaps it was time to let her guard down, I mean it had been years at this point. There had been nothing. Perhaps he'd given up. Perhaps she was finally free. Koi let out a long sigh, relaxing a bit more into her sitting position, remembering back to a time where she would sit with her brothers watching the sun go down and eat Takoyaki.

She hadn't spoken to them in years, she couldn't, both of them had taken a vow of secrecy about their heritage. Her oldest brother, Fel, the last time she saw him had Pure White hair that framed his face, he'd recently cut it but in her fondest memories it was still long, framing his face. Shining ruby eyes that always squint when he laughed, and a set of black horns, contrasting colours that she would paint sometimes, when she was alone. He'd taken an internship with a large merchant trader who was unfortunately sterile, he'd adoped Fel giving him the last name Gilstrider, and she was never to mention her affiliation with him again. Though they'd have to kill her to keep that promise.

Her other brother was Hylric, a bit of a hot head with Dark Red hair to match, the front was a blazing cherry. He also had bright ruby eyes and black horns but he was much darker in complexion. Koi wasn't sure why the both of them had dark horns and she had ivory ones, but she'd been told not to worry about it. That did not stop her worrying about it, however. Hylric had been promised a life amongst the Machinists, his skills with weapons becoming in handy and lending him to be an expert marksman. Alas that came with the same price of secrecy. Noone would believe her anyway.

Koi slipped down off the roof, landing with her knees slightly bent and absorbing the impact into the roll, she looked around, good. No-one saw that. She continued on her merry way back to the inn, her childhood home didn't exist anymore, and though it stung slightly to take a different route to sleep it wasn't really an issue.

Footsteps. Koi looked around to see the source, but a null answer unsettled her, how could there be nothing?
