Sometimes the things we love the most are consumed with risk, that's definitely how Overboard sees his relationship with Treadwater. Every visit only seems to get shorter and paranoia stronger.

no tw, just thoughtful fluff :)

It’s not too often that Overboard gets to visit Earth and most of all, his beloved Treadwater.

Their original meeting was so perfect and in place to happen, who else was to deny it? Well, both of their factions could.

So here Overboard was, laying on his back with Treadwater besides him nestled into the sand of the ocean’s beach to watch the stars as seagulls cawed and returned to their nests for the night.

Overboard wouldn’t normally do something like this, it sounded silly to him. But, Treadwater had taught him a lot about Earth and to try new things even if they did sound ‘silly’ to him.

Overboard held his servos over his chassis, tired red optics focused on where Treadwater pointed, speaking something of how humans would name groups of stars that appear only at certain times.

“That is so silly.”

Overboard piped up as Treadwater gave a soft laugh, smiling and his own servos mimicking Overboard’s gesture to rest on his own chassis as he addressed his partner.

“You say that about every human activity, Overboard!”

Overboard scoffed and closed his eyes for a moment, smile behind his ventilation mask before slowly opening them again to turn his helm towards the small autobot.

“It’s true, but I suppose it’s a better word to use than condemning such things.”

Tread rumbling his engines as he turned his own helm to look right in his optics, screen for eyes so sweet as he gestured a smile with his gaze alone.

“That’s right, and I’m so overjoyed you’d at least want to try this out with me. It means a lot.”

He meant that, Overboard’s mask leaking puffs of steam as he blushed and turned his helm away as his servo inched out to silently ask Tread for his own. The scuba clad autobot squeezing his hand lightly and holding it at equal link between them as the constantly exhausted decepticon turned his helm back to look at him; tiredly mimicking his smile with his optics since they both normally lacked intakes to show emotion.

“I love doing anything with you, Treadwater. It doesn’t all make sense to me but you make me so happy.”

Tread sitting up with a gentle tug so Board met him at the same level with his balanced cubic helm adornment.

“You do too, for me I mean, ya big softie.”

He chirped, scooting closer and leaning his head against the others shoulder as he gazed back up at the sky and Overboard wrapped his arm around him to keep him close. He could feel the soft engine rumble of how happy Tread felt, leaning his head against his own and doing

the same as the stars seemed to connect in their own special way, just like them both.
