New Experiences

“When you said you listened to anything,” Gerard said, his voice barely below shouting level to try to be heard above the music blasting from the instruments being used by the band at the city square, “I should have believed you.”

Laurel bobbed their head along with the beat. They weren’t necessarily headbanging, just a content little acknowledgement of the rhythm of the music floating around the duo. “’s good, right?”

Gerard made a scrunched expression at his friend. Laurel didn’t even notice, whether it was because they were so into the music flooding the area, or because their thick bangs covered their eyes. Though, Gerard thought to himself, his Pouflon friend never seemed to have issues seeing where they were going, so maybe they were just jamming to the music as much as it looked like they were.

Regardless, it wasn’t exactly the genre that the Sprout tended to enjoy when the choice was up to him. He preferred melodies that were more packed with various emotions that were so powerful the listener could feel the crashing wave of anger, angst, sorrow, and misery that the music brought upon them. The music he listened to had meaning as deep as the ocean surrounding Bellacoste. Music that spoke to his soul. …at least that’s how he felt about it anyway.

This music though, was much more bouncy as if the world were made of rainbows and butterflies. Other Blooms and Sprouts danced around to the tune as the band continued to play, nary a care in the world.

Feh. After the show the duo could go back to listening to Good Music that no one had heard of yet.
