Warriors of the Plants

At the evertree 

Yewpaw trotted ahead of Harveststar and Rustswirl, excited about the meeting they were going to have later.

Rustswirl bounded along after Harveststar, her head held up high and her sleek pelt glistening in the sunlight. She was a bit disgusted to be talking about the bugs, but she would do anything for Harveststar.

Mossystar sighed as they arrived at the Evertree, glad to be out of the desert sun. They'd brought along some random CactusClan cats with them since they were pretty sure Rainstar was sleeping when they told him about the meeting.

Cricketdust had sat by the moonlit cliff, in the shade by the evertree. She looked up when she saw the other cats approach. “Looks like they’re here, Webster.” She rasped, gently nudging Webswirl.

Harveststar would shake out her pelt. She forgot how much she hated the desert and it's heat but at least they were in the shade of the Evertree. She looked around the clearing at the other cats

Whirlwhisper grumbled, annoyed that Mossystar dragged them along when they were just having a nice walk near the evertree, now she has to talk to other cats.

Webswirl would open his eyes becoming alert at Cricketdust's nudge. They looked at the cats approaching "So many cats.." They murmured nervously to the elder

Sunheart didn't mind getting dragged along. He wasn't sure he had much to say, he wasn't sure any Cactusclan cats had anything to say, but it would be interesting to hear what the leaders come up with to save the forest.

Yewpaw sat down in his usual spot, he was a little disappointed that Mousepaw didn't come along with the other Castleclan cats, but he tried to hide his disappointment, "Hello!" He greeted the other clan cats

Cricketdust pushed herself up and hobbled forward. “Good day, everyone.” She said (her British accent strong), nodding a warm greeting to the representatives.

Webswirl stayed put sitting tall as he watched all the cats from a safe distance

Harveststar would dip her head to Cricketdust "Good evening, is Sprucestar still looking after the clan?" She asked going and sitting down

Rustswirl brightened up when she saw Webswirl.

Mossystar rolled their eyes when they saw the CastleClan cats, "What a surprise, sending out anyone available instead of going herself..."

Cricketdust nodded. “The swarm is getting more persistent. She is needed back in the den.” She gave Mossystar a thoughtful look. “I am sorry that you lost your home, but that doesn’t mean you can speak that way.”

Whirlwhisper coughed loudly, "Cactusclan isn't much better." They muttered, not ashamed to throw her own clan in the mud.

Harveststar would glance at Sunheart and Whirlwhisper. She would question the Cactusclan cats where Rainstar was but she already knew the answer to that. She smiled at the Cactusclan cats even if Sunheart was the only one who could see it. "That's good to hear." She nodded, "Let's get started. I'll recap what Mousepaw and I discussed last gathering. I suggested we find the nest of the bugs and Mousepaw suggested using a type of herb the bugs dislike."

Sunheart would smile nervously back. He had never been so close to the Flowerclan leader and it made him nervous

Cricketdust perked up at that. “Ah yes, the kids have been working on experiments with the bugs. Whitepaw hadn’t found a herb yet but they’re getting close and with Mousepaw’s knowledge I suspect the two will find a solution soon.”

Yewpaw nodded, "Mousepaw suggested yarrow and marigold." He said, backing up Harveststar...and Mousepaw.

“Am I the only one who doesn’t like marigold?” Rustswirl mumbled

"Woah there, wouldn't it be better if every clan's medicine cat planned that out?" Mossystar suggested, not wanting the stone cats to be in charge of everything, "I mean, Cloudwish has got experience too you know. Plus, don't you want us to work on this together or something?"

Yewpaw hummed and looked at Harveststar, "Good idea! Mother can I go to the stone den and work with Mousepaw?"

Harveststar took a deep breath turning her purple eyes onto Mossystar "Well why isn't Cloudwish here?" She asked raising a brow "Besides, we are only thinking of as many ideas to get rid of the bugs as possible. Nothing is set in stone yet." She meowed wondering if she should have taken some poppy seeds before arriving here. She hadn't managed to get Yewpaw away from the herbs to snatch a few poppy seeds. She would look at Yewpaw "We can discuss that with the Castleclan cats after the conversation" She meowed softly

Sunheart would look between the two leaders before thinking "If we do find the bug's nest what would we do? With how many there are I wouldn't be surprised if the nest is huge and expansive," He noted

Mossystar narrowed their eyes at Harveststar, "Oh, I don't know, Harveststar, maybe because we said this was a leader's meeting? Sorry you needed an escort to get here."

Harveststar sighed relaxing her shoulders already feeling that tingling in her paw pads but she ignored it and Mossystar. She turned her attention to Sunheart. "That's true.. We can't decide on how we destroy it right now if we can even find the nest.."

Rustswirl jumped to Harveststar’s defense. “It’s not her fault you’re so lonely.”

Webswirl would look between these cats. they had a bad feeling this meeting would only turn out to be useless bickering

Whirlwhisper busied herself with scratching the dirt and ripping up the grass near her paws.

"Who even are you??" Mossystar asked the warrior, ignoring the actually important conversation.

Rustswirl pampered her fluffy bang, “Rustswirl, warrior from Flowerclan.”

Webswirl would look at Rustswirl. They felt like they recognized Rustswirl but couldn't exactly remember

Cricketdust raised her brows  at the interactions. “Ahem, staying on topic, I think if all our medicine cats work together, should be able to find a solution much quicker. But I must relay this to Sprucestar first.”

"Can we stay on topic?" Harveststar meowed loudly her voice booming as usual

Yewpaw cleared his throat, "Sooo can I go to the stone den and meet up with Mousepaw and Whitepaw?"

Cricketdust thought to the situation Mousepaw was currently facing. The kid was incredibly stressed out, so Yewpaw’s presence might help her out. “I have no issues with it. As long as you stay on task and get the objective done.”

Yewpaw beamed, "YAY! I mean uh thank you Cricketdust." He licked his chest with embarrassment.

Harveststar would sigh softly. At this moment she was very much considering retiring. "Castleclan will most likely have the most knowledge about the bugs. Other than them seeming to becoming larger, is there anything else in particular we could use?" She asked looking at Cricketdust and Webswirl

Whirlwhisper shift her paws, they keep facing the leaders and opening their mouth but would just snap it shut again and turn away.

Cricketdust hummed. “We haven’t made much development besides what we already know.” She admitted with a frown

Whirlwhisper shook her head and gave up stay silent, "If I can speak, I'd like to say something?" They said slowly, regret instantly dawned on them.

Cricketdust smiled, “Of course!” She said warmly

Whirlwhisper gulped nervously, welp it's now or never, actually I don't even have a choice anymore, it's too late. "Well since I'm the only Cactusclan cat that actually patrols the border...I heard the bugs travel here before they well...attacked?" They took a nervous breath, "There weren't that many to begin with... maybe like ten? By the sounds of it anyway...so there's definitely a nest somewhere, probably in Castleclan by the sounds of the buzzing, maybe in a crack or something?"

Cricketdust nodded. “We can send out a small group to go search for the nest.”

Harveststar would nod she had nothing else to really add

“Is that it then?” Rustswirl asked, looking around

"I think for now yes. We should meet up again after Castleclan sends that small group looking for the nest. We might come up with more ideas if we have more information on the bugs," Harveststar meowed looking at the other cats

Cricketdust nodded. “Very well then. It was a pleasure seeing everyone again.”

"When should we meet again?" Harveststar asked

Cricketdust glanced at Webswirl and then back at Harveststar. “I’ll try and organize something by tonight. Maybe in two nights we can meet up once more?”

Yewpaw looked at Cricketdust then at Harveststar, "Can I go stay over mother?" He asked with shining eyes, "Pleeeeeeease!!"

Harveststar would look at her son and sighed "Okay okay, but I'm walking you over," She meowed wanting to make sure Yewpaw made it there safely

Yewpaw jumped up to his paws, "Great! Let's go then!"

"Hold on hold on." Harveststar laughed softly before looking at Rustswirl "You can head back to our camp on your own. I'll arrive a bit later,"

Webswirl would be looking at Rustswirl again

Whirlwhisper stood up and left without telling anyone.

Sunheart couldn't believe Whirlwhisper abandoned him
