Golden Day

Chibi chose a soft warm day to wander into the forest, picking an open area with lots of sunlight to sit down in. Their pet walking up beside them, dropped a small teal bag down next to their thigh. Yawning, Chibi looked down at the bag, nosing in it and pulling out a pink blanket by their teeth. Toshi their service pet perked up at the blanket, quickly nabbing a corner of it and pulling away from the bag with it. Awkwardly the two placed it down, slowly moving about to straighten it out.

Chibi picked the bag up, taking place in the middle of the smallish blanket, seconds later Toshi joined them. Nosing in once more, Chibi gently pulled out silk, crumpled a bit by the bag. Toshi nabs the bag, shaking it about violently before setting their chin on it and yawing. They watched as Chibi using their paws to slowly shape and form what seems to be a heart? Out of the silk. Chibi's tongue peeked out as they began to work on the small shape. They were making a flower! It wasn't going so well. Not enough silk and not enough dexterity. Their small fat toe beans could only do so much. That didn't bother them though. They worked diligently on it none the less.

A soft voice like the warm sunbeams suddenly spoke. "Hello! What's that you are making? Oh, dear. Do you not have enough?" Chibi froze, peeking up at the beautiful mhoat that suddenly popped by them. Peeking over, Toshi seems to have fallen asleep next to them. They wanted to say hi, or no, Hello. No too informal, Good morning. Wait it's not really morning? Good afternoon? It is afternoon? The sun is up. Oh. Oh geez, they are just staring at this mhoat. Say a greeting!

"Blrrrrp" Not that. Chibi grimaced at that. Least they said something? The Mhoat seemed surprised. Then laughed.

"I have extra silk if you do need it." They claimed. "Do you need help, so I can take you to it? Or do you want me to bring it?" Chibi didn't mind following. They bit their bag and tried tugging it out from under their pet. With no luck, they felt like they were making an ass out of themselves. Suddenly the mhoat turned anthro, easily pulling the bag out from under Toshi. Slowly, Toshi woke up yawning, then stood and stretched out. Gently, Chibi raised the small misshapen flower to the mhoat, who took it with care. Both Chibi and Toshi got up as the black and golden mhoat folded up their blanket, placing it in the bag. "Follow me," They said. "Oh. I'm Lumia by the way."

Chibi chirped once more as they followed the mhoat more into the forest. They soon arrived at their home. As promised they had extra silk. Chibi worked more on their flower as the day went by. It ended up nothing like a flower but they loved it! Looking up, Chibi saw the sky darkening, Inari would be worried if they stayed any longer. Getting up, they wheeled over to Lumia with the little flower thing in their front paws. Holding it out to them. Lumia took it and Chibi took off very quickly to their bag. "Chi~bi" Chibi said as they patted them self, then waved at them. They took off in seconds before Lumia had a chance to reply. Chibi ran off with Toshi fast on their heels. What a day! Inari would be protective but happy someone helped them! Maybe Inari knew of Lumia!
