Chapter 1

Me, about his personality:

On top of what already said in his profile, he’s rather reserved but chatty nonetheless. He often relies on gut feelings, but he’s otherwise generally logic-oriented even if he has this laissez-faire idealistic attitude of "things will work out". He gets attached to objects and routines but much less people, or at least he tries to keep things that way. His main story themes are memory and mourning; moving on and enjoying the little things in life, not rely too much on attachment and relationships

@ bigelow :

Si (introverted sensing) types are very rooted in memories and the past, which is why they are some of the most grounded and reliable types and can sometimes seem stuck in their ways. So I’m thinking ISxJ…you say logic oriented so probably ISTJ.
As for enneagram I can see 6 or 9 as plausible; both love security to some extent, but 6’s are fearful and move toward others while 9’s are chill and move away from others.

Me, about someone asking about his necklace:

Oh it has no bearings on his story! Asphodel is the type to collect mementos and enjoys fashion, his choker is one such item; ancient but lovingly kept in a good state. He indeed rarely ever takes it off, and it’s one of his favorite accessories! It’s important to him, but in the same way that you hold onto something nostalgic or a toy you’re fond of, it means something to him and he plainly loves it, but ultimately if he were to lose it he’d move on

school of magic, my pick:

  • Enchanting - (magic used to bestow different magical/unearthly properties to something)
@ Lithiumrazor ‘s pick: I've got two schools that Asphodel really had me caught between; mysticism and restoration (trying not to lean too much into the obvious with necromancy and him being a vampire). For mysticism, I can see him being very interested in the study of the world and the way that magic has played its course within it. Not only that, but being as though he's immortal, time would have no real bearing on him so I think Asphodel would enjoy manipulating it with mysticism's branch of chronomancy. For restoration, its mentioned that he has a vast knowledge of medicine (among other things), and that struck me. I really like the idea of an undead, vampire studying and practicing a school of magic basically put in place to keep his kind at bay.... maybe I'm projecting, but bring on the healer vampire!
