Summertime

Summer finally was beginning. Katsuki was more used to spending it by finding a place in a nearby park to read and just chill. He was never the type to hang out with a large group of people. Zane had just recently started introducing him to "stop being boring and live a little" was what Zane called it. The idiot would bring him to beaches, public pools(although he too hated them) and to carnivals.

And although Bakugou pretended to hate it,he didn't mind when it was with the other male. In fact it was almost fun for him to see Zane get all excited in the ways he did at these places. At school, the only time Zane would show genuine enthusiasm was when he finished a hard exam or when he wrote stupid things in the men's bathroom.

Katsuki would occasionally show Zane that he was actually enjoying his time and not sulking at the fact he's not reading his BL Mangas.

The blonde had been having a lot of fights with his parents recently due to lack of family time and found it hard to stay in his own house often. Katsuki would stay on the phone for hours complaining about this problem and Zane would suggest idea after idea. Bakugou didn't want to spend time with his family, souly because Zane wasn't there with him, he only ever felt social around him and he found it hard to communicate without the other.

One night they were having the call again and Zane was pointing out other ideas, "You have that weird summer reunion right? You'll have to go to that I mean, not like you can hold down the fort for a whole month." Bakugou scoffed, "I'd like you to know I clean this house top to bottom every day so I think I could" Zane rolled his eyes "mmhmm sure. I'll still force you to go cause whether you choose to face it or not, your mom will continue to bark at you if you wait longer"

"Why not just go with me?" Bakugou suggested absent-mindedly.

"Yeah I was going to." Zane replied back almost immediately.

"Pfft yeah and how were you gonna do that? Stuff yourself in the back of the car and pop up at the party. You know I have a big ass family, we have a list they go through at the doorway and last time I checked you weren't on it" Katsuki snapped back

"Ugh then put me on it! You went to my Christmas party! It's only fair I go to this one" Zane complained,rolling onto his back and kicking his feet "I wanna meet your familyyyy"

Bakugou smiled at the pouting man on the other end of the call. "no you really don't but if you wanna go soo badly you can" Zane laughed "Yes! I knew you'd give in cause I also know that you don't wanna go there without your hot social shield"

He rolled back onto his stomach. "Now you're just pushing it I might change my mind" Katsuki mumbled.

Zane just laughed.

The days leading up to the big party were achingly slow, Bakugou preferred it'd go slower because he really didn't want to go. And he'd have to stay in that house for a whole month. But with cons comes pros, he thought about how he'd get to spend more time with Zane as he'd be spending the month with him, and about how they'd be sharing a room.

They called for about 4 hours the night before the party, the ride there was even longer but for now they were both packing on call together, grabbing a few extra things last minute. Zane would make a joke about bringing something unnecessary every second, he kept giggling and calling Bakugous name to show him but the blonde knew it was going to be something childish. After enough bothering he finally turned over and Zane was holding up the most hyper realistic toy ever  he kept laughing waiting for a reaction "This'll be perfect for you" Katsuki remembered him saying "Look it's even pink- your favorite color" Zane pressed on. "Pinks not my favorite color you asswipe." He said before turning back, clearly blushing. "Don't you dare pack that" He added

After the everything but boring call, Bakugou went to pick Zane up, who was smiling wildly as he hopped in the car.

"How fars the party??" He asked a little to fast, barely slow enough to comprehend,but after 2 years of dating the man, he knew.

"5 hour drive" Bakugou said plainly, to which Zanes smile dropped. "...might as well take a plane, I know"

The drive wasn't bad, in fact, everything from it. Zane and Katsuki watched tiktok together for a large majority of the time, but by the 3 hour mark they were playing rock paper scissors and whoever won got to draw on the other. The game was fun as they were both bored to the point that anything would entertain the two. They started writing things on bits of paper hidden in the car, going as far as writing help me on the back of a book and sticking it to the window for other drivers to see,getting yelled at by Katsukis mother, thankfully no one cared enough to call the police.

By the time they got there, they both looked like an average rapper with all the fake tattoos they made each other. Before getting out of the car they both wiped the marker off of each other and grabbed their packs to then knock on the door. Katsuki was actively fidgeting as he heard someone head to the door, the amount of cars parked outside the building already scaring him enough.

The door was opened and over 9 dogs rushed out to sniff the group. Bakugous aunt went over to hug him as tight as she possibly could, "Who's this little bunch o cuteness hun?" She asked as she took sight of Zane, who was caught off guard and noticeably tried to escape the hug that was soon forced upon him. "Ah- m'Zane ma'am...nice to meet you??" He gave a small gesture for the lady to give out her name so he didn't have to keep saying ma'am. "Oh- Auntie Namuko dear, you can call me Nam Nam if you want okay sugar?" Katsuki gave a elongated groan before grabbing Zanes arm and bringing him into a packed home filled with more kids than adults. "Your family is sure into reproduction aren't they" Zane spat out, to which the blonde smacked his hand over Zanes mouth, "Let's just go put our stuff in my room" Katsuki let go and dragged Zane upstairs, seemingly already annoyed by the noise and clutter of the place.

"Wait you have your own room here?" Zane asked curiously. "Yeahuh, everyone does..well...all the kids share, but anyone over 13 gets their own place, this house practically sells for a hotel" The other replied, stopping at a door with as many stay out signs as could fit there. "Shrek much...what's with these signs? Keeping people out your swamp?" Zane smirked. Katsuki let out an unenthusiastic chuckle, "No one's gonna wanna step foot in my swamp when they hear you crying for papa" He opened the door to a plain room and set their stuff down. "Ah ha ah ha" Zane laughed, unamused "We both know you're the one on bottom" Katsuki paused. "You can shut up now" Zane immediately cheered up and jumped on the others bed. "ALRIGHT NAPS OVER LETS MEET YOUR FAMILY NOW" just as soon as he got on he jumped off. "Fine by me let's just stay away from the homophobic ones" The blonde replied.

They both headed back down the stairs to see what looked like the average amount of people at a Taylor Swift concert. "God it stinks" Katsuki grunted out, trying to keep his hand interlocked with Zanes. Zane on the other hand was plowing through every one as he saw one very emo looking lady he felt he'd relate to. Katsuki pulled him back almost instantly as he saw who Zane was trying to get to. "Nuh uh" Zane looked back at her then back at Bakugou, "She homophobic or something? She looks gay as hell-" He asked. "No I just don't like her-" Bakugou snorted but yelped as he got pulled over to the lady "Ugh I hate you-!"

The girl looked up from her phone and saw Zane "uhh...Hi?" She set her phone down. "Who're you?" She asked. "M'Zane, Katsukis wedded husband" He said sarcastically. "Oh...he finally pulled someone? I don't believe it." She smiled "I'm Iyaki..by the way"

Zane pulled Katsuki to stand up instead of laying down like dead meat tied on a string. "Are yall actually married" Iyaki asked after a hot minute. "No no-! I was being sarcastic! I won't marry this man until he grows up a bit more.." Zane smiled and Katsuki drags himself to the floor again, groaning "I hate this place and i hate you too idioiiitt"

Iyaki raises her eyebrows "I feel sorry for you. Like really how do you handle that" She laughed.

"Sometimes I don't even know" Zane laughed back.

The conversation lasted about 10 more minutes before Zane dragged Katsuki to the portion of the house where all the adults resided. Almost all the adults loved Zane when he introduced himself, but as he headed over to this one old lady he was already getting bad vibes from her. Zane forced Bakugou to say hi first to the crippling sack of human on the wheelchair. "Hiii" He said, painfully gritting his teeth. The old lady looked up "Oh if it isn't my gay great grandson, what a pleasant surprise..why aren't you in a bar making out with the whole place" She grunted as she tried to move her wheelchair to the other direction.

Katsuki looked back at his boyfriend "didn't I say to keep away from her-?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Oh now you're warning people about me? Please, people with sense would keep away from you" Katsuki had to fight every nerve in his body to push her weak frail body off her wheel chair and pull a John Cena.

Zane pulled him away from her "Sorry I didn't know you were...I'm sorry" He told the lady then running off before he said anything to cause family drama.

Katsuki seemed to have forget the whole incident once his gramma came around, she was the definition of a girl queen and to Katsukis amusement, she bossed Mitsuki around the whole time.

Zane had the most fun around her, they sat there playing games in exchange for any money either had on them and were basically gambling when Katsukis gramma pulled out her expensive watch.

By the time dinner came around, Katsuki told Zane to stop gambling and eat with him, to which he gladly obliged. The table was packed with food and Zane kept pouting on how they didn't make food to bring to the table like everyone else did. The two kept eating between the occasional swims they took. Katsuki would swim right underneath Zane and pull him above the water. "Ow! I JUST ATE KAT YOU BIG OOF!" Zane would complain, "pfft- then stop eating for once second so I can race you already" Zane paused at what Bakugou said, "calling me fat now" Zane pouted as he layed down on Katsukis shoulders and pulled him to let go before he drowned  .

"Drama queen" Katsuki rolled his eyes after getting his hair out of his eyes. "Why don't I just drown you so you don't scarf down all the food in the world" He put his hands on Zanes stomach, about to push down. "AH WAIT NO NO!" Katsuki's boyfriend laughed and stood up.

Almost all the kids were in the lake by the time Katsuki and Zane decided they wanted out.

Both took a shower together and once they got out they were completely DRAINED. Even Zane was tired and that was a rare sight for him.

They chose each others outfits from the blondes already bland closet.

Katsuki got into bed and gave Zane some room to snuggle on into. The two had easy sleep that night. With a whole month ahead of them they dreamt into the warmth of each other.
