Day 16 - Soul

Holding his hands up helplessly in front of him, Sotera had fought off giant monsters, killer bees, and fiery hounds, but he couldn't stave off one small child with huge brown eyes. Their dream had transformed his realm into something he hadn't expected. The perimeter of his island had vast hellfire lining the edges, the sky turning a deep red, and even a fake blood red moon hung in the sky. Exactly like he imagined hell would look like. However, tiny chibi looking demons were roaming around. They'd occasionally bump into each other and hiss or yelp, but were utterly adorable and nonviolent otherwise. His trouble right now, was that when he told the small he was indeed a demon as well in her strange dream, she got all sparkly eyed and demanded to make a contract with him.

"Like I said, I'm not that kind of-" But stopped himself mid-sentence when he saw that excited smile wobble. She knew what he was about to repeat after her second pleeease, and would probably give up with this one. Lucky for her, Sota was weak hearted and couldn't stand anyone visiting his realm to leave with disappointment. "Actually, I just remembered how we can form a contract, but you have to promise to do everything and not laugh. I suppose a little giggling would be fine though."

Their eyes lit back up immediately, quickly nodding and taking his hand with her tiny one when offered. "Great, now then, we'll need snacks for energy, some little chibi guests for help, and a lot of sticks and feathers." Looking up to him they questioned, "Sticks and feathers?" Grinning, he nodded, "Of course, how do you expect to make a soul-binding contract with a dream demon without making a dreamcatcher? Common, it'll be fun, you'll just have to remember how for when it's time to go home. Er, I mean it'll be very scary and demonic. Ooooo..!"
