Growth Quests

Russel turned his head left and right, trying to scan the area for anything at all that he recognised. The trees were an unfamiliar dark blue colour, and they were slowly losing their orange, red and yellow leaves. He would have been excited to see this beautiful contrast of colours, but he did not recognise anything in his sights.

“Oh man. I hate to admit it… but it looks like I’m lost.” Russel exclaimed worriedly. The small suki looked around his immediate surroundings again, hoping to catch a glance of anything that he could remember. “Nothing that I can recognise, and I don’t know the way back, oh dear.”

Just several hours ago, a shifty looking Vespire in a cloak had been trying to convince Russel that these woods he was currently in held some rare treasure that a sprout like him would be silly to miss out on. Out of intense curiosity and love for adventure, the young Suki had trusted the lead from this unscrupulous random source, and decided to check out the Peril Woods against his own better judgement. “Some lead.” Russel sighed. “Serves me right for trusting someone suspicious looking off the street and going against my own gut. Why oh why did I do this??” He blamed himself.

“Woooooooooooooooo!” a sudden loud sound from the woods rang in Russel’s young ears. The tiny suki was taken aback by the noise and jolted upright. “Oh man oh man I hate it here!!! This place is so much trouble! I just want to leave!”
