Gourds and Pumpkin [THREE]

Another day had passed, leaving the sun to set and the moon to rise again
Fool, who had come back after a long day of performance and fun, returned to their abode for some well-deserved solitude. Of course, they’d need to toss the towel in to get some rest and do everything again… but they’d put off carving their pumpkin long enough. After all, they wanted to roast the seeds for a snack while making a silly face to put on display.
They gathered their tools and began to carve into the gourd.
Off came the top with the stem attached, and it was set off to the side. Reaching into the pumpkin, Fool grabbed at the innards and pulled them out; hands full of slimy seeds. Handful after handful, they scooped the pumpkin clean of seeds to be washed, roasted, and eaten later.
They used a scoop to further hollow out and thin the walls of the gourd to make carving easier.
When they felt that all had been properly prepared, Fool carved into the walls, opening holes in the shape of squinting eyes, a large nose, and a wide, upturned smile. Little teeth lined the mouth, and the top capped the pumpkin once more.
