02 - Lemur

Lemur woke up in a room. A light one. Wait... Actually, make that an extremely light one. BLINDING. He sighed giving a slight scream, sitting upright and quickly regretting it as it gave a bolt of pain to his head. The last thing he remembered was the pitied faces of his winglet as everything went blurry. He had woken up here in this bright room where startled and sad looking Baileya looked up at him and then down as she slowly lowered himself back on the bed he was on.

He took the time he had to look around and observe his surroundings.

There were leaves around him and it looked like a wooden hut based off a RainWing clinic. He guessed it was based on that, anyway.

He was a bit disappointed in the fact that it was Baileya and not Dreamcatcher that was sitting with him. He would have loved to have woken up to her pretty face...

"Hello?" a startling voice said, making Lemur flinch a little. Baileya was standing over him, her talons waving in his face. "Are you all right? You seemed to have gone into outer space," she grumbled.

"Oh! Yeah, I'm fine." He gave a nervous chuckle. "Just daydreaming." He smiled.

"Whatever," she answered in a tired form, her small jaw giving a large yawn for her size. "Let's just head back, our whole winglet is asleep already. I was forced to stay here with you to make sure you were alright. It's my punishment for shaking you unconscious in the first place."

Lemur looked almost mortified. "Asleep?" he exclaimed. Sure enough, when he looked at the clock next to him, it was past 11:00 at night. It was only the afternoon when he last remembered. How long had he been asleep?

Baileya patted him on the head and then gave him a hug. "Yes, dummy." She chuckled. "Asleep. You were unconscious for quite a while."

She sighed, taking a look at the healer who was paying no attention to them, "May we go?" she asked. "He's awake."

The healer turned towards them and nodded. "Mhm."

Baileya grabbed Lemur quickly helping him walk as they hurried back to their dorm.

Everyone was asleep and sprawled out in the bed. How was he going to find space between Emerald and Bloodclaws? Baileya found her way to her bunk with Silt and fell asleep instantly after she laid down.

Wow, Lemur thought, amazed. She was really tired.

His gaze went back to the extremely sprawled out Bloodclaws and curled in Emerald. They ooked pretty evenly spread out. He made his way towards the middle bed and made himself comfortable before he found that his eyes were slowly closing on him. The next thing he knew he was having dreams of him and fruit, and then Dreamcatcher and fruit. He smiled.

Lemur's green eyes woke to the surprisingly quiet room. He had expected that he would be the last to wake up and everything would be loud and unpleasant. He sighed happily. He would just go exploring before classes started and everyone woke up to an argument of some kind.

He made his way pacing through the hallways until he reached the balcony next to the library. A few dragons beat him there and were already sitting down to read, but he was just going to sit on the balcony, enjoy the view, and maybe daydream a little before class. Fresh air...

One hour later...

BONG! BONG! BONG!

Startled by the loud noise of the bell, Lemur screamed in fright. It was time for class already?

Why was it only now that he was getting tired? He groaned and rushed to his first class, his green eyes droopy.
