Creeping cautiously through Dragon's Valley's Jellysaur Hideout, Fire Spirit and Lotus made their way through the unfamiliar lands.

"We might be careful," Lotus warned as she armed herself with her staff. "As I heard, there are plenty of enourmous creatures living upon these lands..."

Fire Spirit turned to her and said, "You think I haven't seen them already? They're freakin' scary!"

"And to think that you once faced a dragon..." Lotus rolled her eyes as she lead the way.

"Little do you know," he muttered under his breath as he followed her.

"I also heard there was a Cookie roaming around these lands..." Lotus mentioned. Fire Spirit immediately thought of Dragonfruit, but then remembered that there was another Cookie who lived in the Dragon's valley as well. "Well, better hurry up, before we get lost for good... Hm, never expected it to be that wide."

Fire Spirit chuckled nervously and remarked, "I can fly to check out the surroundings, but that would risk being seen by the bad guys, wouldn't it?"

"Yeah... wouldn't like to be spotted either."

Lotus sighed, desperately trying to find a way out of the Jellysaur Hideout.

Suddenly, the ground began to rumble, as if an earthquake was going to arrive

"... Fire, what have you even planned on doing again-?" Lotus asked suspiciously.

Fire Spirit raised his eyebrow at Lotus.

"I'm not doing anything, girl. What are YOU doing?"

"Do I look like I control the lands and grounds?"

"This better not be the doing of Night Raven..."

Lotus then stopped dead on her track. A shadow was covering them, with a rather slow pace, though...

"Hm... I fear the worst is happening-" she started.

"God, this better not be who I think it is-" Fire Spirit groaned.

A voice sounded from the distance.

"Yooo, Ty! Slow down, buckaroo! Ya might crush younger jellysaurs at this rate !"

Roads sounded from the same direction as the unknown voice.

"Uh... I don't know if I think likewise, but there's someone coming at us," Lotus remarked.

Facepalming, Fire Spirit sighed, "It is who I think it is."

"Oh yeah ? Then who do you think it is-?"

The green Jellysaur who was probably Ty roared again, coming at them both and about to stomp them flat on the ground.

"A-Ah! Get down !" Lotus exclaimed.

Lotus then proceeded to chuck herself and Fire Spirit down the floor, dodging the Jellysaur's feet in the process.

"HOLY SHIT, DUDE! CONTROL YOUR GODDAMN DINOSAURS!" Fire Spirit screamed at the unknown figure.

"YO, Ty, What were you even planning to do-" The voice cut off. "Cookies in the Valley? Stop there, Ty !"

The Jellysaur stopped, and the young Cookie climbed down to the floor. He took few steps ahead until he saw the two lying on the floor.

"Uh... hey there, sorry for the inconvenience," he apologized. Then, he noticed Fire Spirit and his eyes lit up. "Yooo, it's the Fire Spirit from the Dragon's Valley! Not looking after the Dragon's Lair at this time ?"

"I literally don't know how to respond to that."

Standing up, Fire Spirit brushed himself up and held his hand out to Lotus.

"Wow, such a gentleman," Lotus remarked sarcastically.

Lotus stood up with the help of Fire's hand, and thanked him while at it. She then paused to look at the blue-haired cookie who was smiling like a goof.

"Uh... care to explain how you two got to know each other-?" Lotus asked Fire Spirit.

Fire Spirit scratched his head.

"Well, you see, Dino here lives in the Dragon Valley. And I happen to live here too, so we cross paths sometimes."

"Dino, huh..."

"Dino-Sour, to be more precise!" the male exclaimed.

And we hear "badum tss" coming from the background without them knowing how this even came out-

Fire Spirit rolled his eyes.

"Narrators, please stop. I beg you."

Sorry Fire, you're already handling Lotus' presence after all, so I thought that little detail would do :)

Yeah, we love having fun ;)

"Just shut up."

It was after a rebulding of the fourth wall that we go back to our story-

"My, so THIS is the cookie who lives there...?" Lotus said.

"Precisely!" Dinosour added, while still smiling like a goof. "Have I ever introduced you to my good'ol Ty? My best Jellysaur of them all!"

Dino went near Ty to pat him on the side, and the Jellysaur... purred?

"Care for a ride?" Dino offered. "I can pretty much guide you anywhere you want."

Fire Spirit's eyes lit up. (haha im so funee-)

"Yeah, that would be great! We need to get outta here!"

"Well, we are on our way to Blancathry (Apricot's Shattered Kingdom's hc town name-), mind bringing us there?" Lotus asked.

"Gladly, if you please!" Dino responded

Lotus approached Ty slowly, seemingly worried.

"Don't worry, he only bites when feeling it. Here, let me help."

Then, Lotus climbed on Ty's back, holding herself against its neck.

"W-Wow... to think I'm going to go on a trip on a Jellysaur's back!" she smiled nervously.

"Alright, we're now waiting for ya, Fire!"

Fire Spirit cautiously climbed onto Ty's back and said, "Ready to go."

"Alright!" Dino exclaimed. "Ty, max speed !"

"Wait, Max speed-" Lotus

Lotus didn't get enough time to catch what was going on, since Ty was already going on max speed.

"AAAAWAHAAAWHAHAHA-" Fire Spirit screeched in distress as he held on for his dear life.

"YIPPIE!! I WOULD NEVER HAVE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE THIS FUN!" Lotus exclaimed with joy.

"WHY WOULD YOU DO MAX SPEED ARE YOU ON CRACK JESUS CHRI-" Fire Spirit screeched in distress.

"KEEP GOING, DINO !"

"NO PROBLEM, DUDE !"

Soon enough, the trio arrived at the border of Shattered Kingdom.

"Alright guys, we arrived!" Dino announced as Ty stopped.

"Thank you for the ride, Dino!" Lotus smiled gratefully as she landed down the floor.

Shakily, Fire Spirit slid off of Ty and landed beside Lotus.

"Awww, what's the matter, Fire~? Got shook?" Lotus giggled while patting his back.

"D-don't t-touch me."

"Make sure to call me for another ride next time!" Dino called out.

"We will, Dino! No worries!"

Lotus motioned Fire Spirit harshly with her eyes.

Straightening himself up, Fire Spirit said, "Uh- thank you. We appreciate it."

"Then I'll take that as a goodbye!"

Dino waved at them silly as Ty turned back and went back inside the Valley. Lotus waved at him as well as he went further away.

"Goodbye, Dino! And thank you for the ride again!" Lotus shouted to him.

"YEAAAAAAAH-" Dino's voice rang again in the distance.

Fire Spirit waited until Dino was gone.

"Where to now, princess?" he asked Lotus like the flirtatious moron he was.

"Princess?" Lotus frowned. "Quite a pompous name for someone like me. And anyway... off we go to Blancathry. There might be a high chance to find him there. Let's go."

And both went to Blancathry, where a fair was going on.

"Great," Fire Spirit groaned. "Millie freaking dies and there's a fair going on."

"Might be a way to celebrate it?" Lotus suggested.

Actually, no, Lotus. It's here all year.

"Ah, thanks for the info then."

You're welcome. :)

Lotus now went foward, looking around at people to see whether she would recognize Black Licorice or not.

"I've seen Black Licorice before... I don't think he'd be the type to go out to fairs," Fire Spirit informed. "He's probably inside his house or something..."

Fire Spirit turned around to look at all the people around them.

"Do you think we should ask around for where he is?" he suggested.

"Hmm... that would be quite insane, but sure," Lotus responded.

Then, she asked a random Cookie if they knew Black Licorice.

"Black Licorice? Hm... never heard of him before..." the Cookie responded.

"Oh, sorry for bothering then, sir," Lotus apologized. "Good day to you!"

Glaring at the two, the stranger walked away doubtfully.

"I knew it wouldn't be this easy..." Fire Spirit sighed.

"Asking people one by one wouldn't be wise," Lotus notes. "We need to go somewhere crowded... like this..."

She looked around her, noticing a pannel with written on it "Slugorg's."

"This place! It sounds like somewhere good!"

Then, she proceeded to hold Fire Spirit's hand and headed towards Slugorg's.

Blushing from Lotus's sudden boldness, Fire Spirit decided not to say anything and go along with it.

"Good idea, uh, princess."

Lotus entered and looked around the place. There were Cookies crowded around tables all around the room, with a guy playing piano as well. The bartender was cleaning glasses for the next customer to come.

"Alright..." she whispered to Fire Spirit. "How do you think we should ask everyone out?"

"I mean, I could be scary and just like, literally ask everyone but I don't think that would be a good idea," Fire Spirit shrugged.

"Hmm..."

As Lotus scanned the tables around her, she noticed someone that looked like Black Licorice. She judged Fire Spirit.

"Psst, hey, doesn't this one look like...?"

Fire Spirit peeked over to where she was pointing.

"Hey, that does look like him..."

"We should probably go and see him... cautiously," Lotus suggested.

Fire Spirit pulled back a little.

"Not sure if I should approach him, girl. He kinda hates the Legendaries."

"It's fine, I'll explain him slowly, but surely," Lotus offered. "You can stay here... if you prefer guys like them?"

Lotus motioned over to the aggressive looking Cookies sitting at a bar and shrugged with a smug smile on her face. She then cautiously headed towards the Black Licorice-looking guy.

Grumpily, Fire Spirit pulled a chair out from the counter and plopped down on it. He watched as Lotus approached Black Licorice.

Lotus took a deep breath, then approached him slowly. She cleared her throat, asking him shyly, "E-Excuse me, sir...? Could I sit here? There are no other free places aside from the one in front of you... please?"

Black Licorice looked up from his phone and looked at Lotus. He almost seemed angry, but he nodded and went back to the screen.

"Thank you."

She smiled down at him as she sat down in front of him.

Think Lotus, think- Lotus thought while thinking hard on a convo subject.

Black Licorice tapped on the phone, as if he were texting someone. A couple seconds passed, and a tiny smile curved onto his face.

"W-Wow... you... you seem to be very happy, at the right moment!" Lotus laughed nervously. Might be some good news arriving to you..."

"It isn't much. I'm just texting someone," he replied.

"O-Oh!" Lotus exclaimed. "Pardon my curiosity... who is that someone?"

"Just a friend of mine."

"Oh, they must be really dear to you, for you smile like this..."

He raised an eyebrow.

"I'm guessing you're implying that I don't look like the type to smile."

"W-What ? No, how would I even think that, while I barely know you...?" Lotus waved it off. It was half true. She had heard of him, but never got a chance to meet him in person until now.

Black Licorice lowered his phone and narrowed his eye at Lotus. Then, he took a small look around the room. He scanned over Fire Spirit sitting at the tables and frowned.

"Oh. It's him," he grumbled.

Lotus sweated intensively, thinking quickly of a plan.

"U-Um... it's- it's actually not him!" she informed the dark-haired male. "Just a fan, y'know ?"

"Is that the case?" Black Licorice remarked with doubt.

"Yes!" Lotus asserted. "Of course, he may reaaaaaally look like him, but, if you take a closer look at him... you may know that the original has a V collar, while this one has an oval-shapped collar. Nuance!"

"Good, because he's done awful things."

"O-Oh... really ?"

Now now, Lotus, you better watch out your curiosity, I know you're eager to know more about your flirty and pervy best combo traveling companion, but resist-

Black Licorice returned to the phone.

"I saw that there were empty seats," he noted. "Why did you choose to sit with me?"

"Oh ? There were ?"

Looking around, Lotus noticed that there were indeed empty seats.

"Oh... might not have looked properly," she smiled nervously.

Setting down his phone, Black Licorice folded his hands beneath his chin.

"Alright, you look like you need me for something," he said with a glaring intensity in his eye. "What is it?"

This, Lotus! Lotus thought to herself. How do you introduce the subject to him?

"H-Haha!" she chuckled awkwardly. "Good sense of deduction, have we?"

Black Licorice stared blankly at her.

Lotus leaned in a bit closer and whispered to him, "Black Licorice... am I right about the name ?"

"I am Black Licorice, yes."

"This is what I thought... being the Dark Servant's sibling sure must be a rough duty."

His expression darkened.

"Oh. You mean Pomegranate."

Lotus gulped and continued, "U-Um... precisely Pomegranate, if you prefer, yes..."

"What's she up to this time?" Black Licorice leaned back in his chair.

"O-Oh? Haven't you heard?" Lotus said. "The Millennial Tree..."

She gulped again, just from the thought of what she had to witness back in the Middle Earths.

"Ah, the only good one. What happened to him?"

Lotus lowered her face to hide her upset expression. Her eyes scrunched up and she hit her lip.

"The Scarlett curse... it has been taken down by the curse..."

Black Licorice clenched his teeth and growled, "I knew she would do this. Simply arranging a killing game wasn't even enough."

"And not only that..." Lotus continued. "I heard the Dark Army was also developping itself... to the point on both both other Legendaries and innocents... those monsters."

Lotus tightened her fists.

Black Licorice breathed in as memories of his service in the Dark Army flashed across his mind.

"The Dark Army. Back when I was young and foolish, I had been a part of it."

He straightened up and said, "Tell me what you need from me."

"Y-You... you would accept to join my committee to stop the Dark Echantress' plans ?"

Lotus' eyes seemed to light up.

"I can most certainly help," Black Licorice promised. "I hate Pomegranate and Dark Enchantress as much as everyone else does and I know Pomegranate well."

"True, for you are her brother..."

Lotus stood up in front of him, holding her hand in front of her.

"She has stolen what was most important for me, just in an instant. Let's unite, to stop her from her evil doings, and take back what she's brought with her."

"Alright. Explain the damage to me and I'll see what I can do."

"Long story short, I am the only one remaining alive from the chaos that got spread around the Middle Earths," Lotus explained. "Not even Wind Archer survived... I also heard Molnlight got hit as well, as well as many other innocents, as told previously."

"Did Wind Archer become Night Raven?" Black Licorice questioned.

"Yes... he did."

"I think I may know a way to reverse it."

"... So do I..."

Lotus closed her hands together, focused for a moment, then opened her eyes again. As she separated her palms, a white lotus flower bloomed in her left hand.

"Oh?" Black Licorice raised his eyebrows. "Quite impressive should you have them."

"Remember the time Fire Spirit was once known as Lord of Ash?" Lotus reminded him. "Well, this is what saved him from the madness growing in himself."

"Yes... these should work. The problem is how we should use it on the cursed beings."

"... I remember making Lord of Ash recover his old memories before by making him smell that flower."

"That is a strategy. Do we have any other plans?"

"For now... not yet. Perhaps do you have one in mind?" Lotus remarked. Then, she continued, "I think for now locating the corrupted ones should be a first step."

"If I remember clearly, Sea Fairy's sword can locate the Legendaries, "Black Licorice informed. "But I do not know her condition."

"Perhaps should we check on her right away ? Let's just hope she is not into a frozen statue again..."

"Yes. We should go now."

Black Licorice stood up and said, "Lead the way."

"Off we go to the Moonlit Sea!" Lotus stood up as well. "Come-... Xabiel! Perhaps a good'ol dino ride would do the trick?"

Lotus almost giggled, calling out Fire Spirit to join them with a name she made up for him.

"Is... he coming with us?" Black Licorice asked with uncertainty.

"Ah, yes, let us say... he's been following me since I left the Middle Earths in hope to see Fire Spirit soon enough!" Lotus answered with a grin. "Heh, maybe after we deal again the Dark Forces."

Lotus gestured her cookie paw to "Xabiel", and the three of us left the pub safely.

With that, our three heroes start their quest to defeat Darkness! Will they win the battle? Will the Kingdom ever go back to peace? Will Black Licorice find out that Xabiel is actually just Fire Spirit? And most of all, will Fire Spirit be quiet while riding the Jellysaur or will he scream like a little anime girl?
