An Ode to My Daisy
When you have to write an ode for your Creative Writing class
Honeydew, can you hear me?
From all the way up in the clouds
I look down upon you, and you're so sad
Don't cry, my love- I will always be here
For your new journey is to begin
Oh, Honeydew, my sweet flower
I see you try to hold yourself together
Death surrounds you
My sacrifice haunts your thoughts
Your brother's death still fresh, just as mine
You're so smart, oh Daisy
Your choice of Deputy could not be better
You leave the Camp, approach the shimmering stone
Water falls from your eyes until they are set on mine
Oh, Daisy, I see you again
Not dead, but here to receive gifts from us who are
Promise me, that after this
I wont see you for a long time, dear
Honeystar, my daisy flower
Tread back to Camp under the stars
And look up at the star-filled sky, because
One of those bright dots watching is me
You can move on, Daisy
Our love eternal, but split by realms
It's not fair for you, my love
Find someone to love you
Please don't stay alone just for me.
