anyways i was here to talk about sads

i think i mightve........ vaguely? talked about thi before but the moment international news casts were going on abt 'YO UHH THERES SOMETHING WHACK GOIN ON IN ALOLA? THERES A SEXY COCKROACH' renee and emmy kind of lost their shit , tho moreso renee

because that's what she was afraid of

it only got worse when any calls to pearls phone ring out

renee was hesitant about agreeing to let pearl go off on her own like she did because of what happened to her at that age (and evidently, the others who she had to witness fall into the same fate) she was terrified that pearl would end up in the same situation and when she did it was hard to keep herself together

then the two get on a speedrun flight to alola which is.. probably thanks to cynthia lbr and when they find out that not only was pearl aware of her mother's fears and hid her involvement on purpose, but she was in bad condition because to be fair, she got punted by a jellyfish lady

so yea the both of them were, really freaking out. renee taking a big sip of that ptsd juice and emmy being like 'haha what do you mean you dont have control over alola, arceus  '

but things ended up alright and pearl was worried theyd be mad when really they were the manifestation of the  emote

the league summit was actually going on at the time of the galactic incident so renee (and emmy) were in sinnoh at the time where it was located

really wasn't a good time because pretty much everyone involved blamed themselves for what happened and not being able to stop it
