Sha

Sha was born from the sea. He was one of many demons among the ocean, living with his mom and dad who terrorized and sunk boats and even large ships daily. Despite all the influences in his life, Sha wanted to be something more. He wanted to go against the boundary of what his relatives and friends did.

He wanted to cross that line between human and demon. He wanted to assimilate into the human lifestyle. He wondered how he would be able to achieve this dream. He then went to a sea witch way down on the bottom of the ocean and asked her if she could do this. She agreed to make him almost fully human, but with a price. If he went through with this, he would never be able to fully show his face to another or the humans would look at him in disgust and he would live in despair. He consented to this, wanting to live in the human world more than ever and to be able to break out of his chains and constraints from being down under.

He got sent above water, to the land of Jaboe, the capital island in the Fyennic Kingdom. He searched around, discovering all the new things he could find. He quickly learned the language and soon began to assimilate the culture as well. Soon though, with no immune system to what lies above the water, Sha got very sick. He had nowhere to go, not even the sea, with a fear of getting everyone else sick. He stayed in a damp alleyway, getting whatever he could to feed himself, while still possessing this sickness. Soon this sickness overwhelmed him, making him unable to stand. All he could do is lay there and wait for his passing to arrive.

He then started drifting off to a deep sleep, one that he knew he most likely wouldn't awake from. As he dozed off, a boy with a shock of sky blue hair and what seemed to be a coat of... flubber perhaps? on him. The boy ran up to him, with his ruby red eyes gazing straight at Sha. Sha then felt himself being lifted off the ground and being carried off. While in this boy's arms, he faded off into a slumber.

He awoke on a bed in a cabin room. The boy with the blue hair was sitting by the bed, putting a wet piece of cloth on Sha's head. Sha sleepily asks, "Where am I and who are you?" through his mask. The boy replies that his name is Ban and he saw Sha on the street, almost dead. Sha replies, "Thank you, but I really must get going. I can't stay in one place for too long or I get attached."

He gets up, but then Ban pushes him lightly and Sha collapses in a fit of coughing. "See? You aren't ready." Ban gently touched Sha's abdomen, with Sha's coughing going away almost instantly. Ban sits back down and starts to reach toward Sha's mask.

Sha grabs Ban's hand and quickly tells him that he can't through another fit of coughing. Ban simply removes Sha's hand and takes off the mask. Ban looked completely blank as he gazes as Sha. Sha covers his face, but Ban uncovers it, saying there was nothing to worry about. Sha asked Ban, "Am I disgusting to you? A vile, nasty creature?" Sha thinks about what the sea witch had said. Ban replies with a simple, "No. You just seem very sad. Lay back down now and get some rest." Ban gets up and walks out of the room, leaving Sha alone in the cabin. Sha lays down and thinks about how lucky he must've been to have been found by such a wonderful being.

Sha sleeps off again, this time waking up and seeing multiple faces crowded above him. He jumps up, alarmed and a bit frightened. He then bared his teeth at them.

Ban steps out from the crowd, calming Sha down. "These are my friends. They all came to greet you today." Sha looks around, seeing the faces that were once scary, now in a tender light as he looked across the room at all the joyous faces. "Why are they happy?" He whispers to Ban. "Because they have a new friend as well.' Ban whispers back. Sha gets up, feeling more energized and gets swarmed with people, asking where he came from, how come he looks so cool, and boatloads of other questions. Sha, although confused, has a warm feeling in his heart, unlike any other feeling he has had before. A fiery red-haired boy the steps forward. "Hi! I'm Akai! Nice to meet you and welcome to the crew!"

Sha had heard of a crew before while in Jaboe. He was ecstatic. "Wow! I really am going to be in a crew?!" He yelled. "I've never had that before! I've had friends, but they weren't the nicest." Akai replied, "Well now you are!" And so, Sha started his brand new journey with many exciting and fun adventures ahead.
