Chapter Three

When Alva arrived on Earth, it was nighttime, and only a few humans walked on the usually busy street. From what she could see, the human community functioned quite similarly to the demon community, but with stricter rules. If she were to survive in the human realm, she had to do it discreetly. Removing her horns and demon taints, Alva quickly blended in with the humans, and looked for a source of food.

Alva is not fully succubus, meaning she does not need to rely solely on sexual energy to survive. She could reap soul energy by killing humans, but it is unclear how effective that would be (compared to a demon or devil's soul energy). Sexual energy at first glance seemed to be the better choice for Alva, but she quickly realised that a human would not be willing to give out their energy so simply; and Alva's succubus lure would not be as effective as purebred succubi. She could, of course, become a prositute, but the thought of that made her feel cheap. It would feel much better for somebody to give her their energy because they genuinely wanted to.

Out of the two options, Alva decided to kill, and nighttime on Earth was the best opportunity to do it. She had not properly fed herself for years, and was therefore ravenous.
She came upon a young woman waiting for the midnight bus, and set them as her target. Looking around briefly for witnesses, Alva quicky materialized a short dagger and stabbed the woman to death. The woman didn't contain an overwhelming amount of energy, but it was enough to quench Alva's hunger for a few days.
Since she is not human, Alva's identity would not be on any database, and she would therefore be able to get away with murder quite easily as long as there were no witnesses. She dematerialized the dagger and left; leaving the body at the bus stop.
Alva didn't notice a dark silhouette by one of the nearby stores.

For the next few weeks, Alva settled into life on Earth. She planned to stay there a while. Money was not of the upmost importance to Alva, as she did not require human food or a place to sleep. However, she did get a small job as a shopping consultant in order to pass the time. (Using her succubus charm to pass the interview, obviously). This caused her to earn a little money, which she used in order to go to various clubs and socialize.
As Alva became comfortable and adjusted to life on Earth, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being observed by a dark presence. Although, she could never sense any sort of supernatural aura whenever she felt this, so she shook it off as mere paranoia from escaping custody.

Outside her place of work, Alva began to notice an absurd amount of posters advertising a small restaurant a flew blocks away. Police were beginning to monitor the area that Alva usually killed her victims in, so she decided that it would be a good idea to meet new humans at Cole's Diner.

It was very busy inside, most likely due to the excessive amount of advertising.
Alva sat at a booth in the far corner, in order to observe the other customers. Almost as soon as she sat down, she was greeted by a young-looking waiter called Akano.  He seemed very bubbly and friendly, and Alva instantly took a liking to him. Akano seemed intent on learning more about her; asking where she was from and where she worked. However, he didn't seem to treat her responses with much interest, like he had already anticipated what she was going to say.
Alva ended up being in the restaurant longer than she anticipated, and the sun was already beginning to set. She said farewell to Akano, and began walking down the street towards a bus stop.
That was when Maddox's bracelet began to burn,

and something struck her in the back of the head.
