Good and evil resides in all lion's hearts, some choose to walk in the light and spread positive energy while others crave to be one with the dark. In these lands, many prides vary in style, beliefs and culture but here in the South the Gods watch over the pride and the Devils walk in their shadows. There are five Gods and five Devils, important for the balance of nature. Devastating events may occur is the scale is tipped in any direction. Many believe the Gods and the Devils to be seperate entities, nah, want to believe. For the truth scares them. The Gods and the Devils are one in the same, different sides of the same coin.
The Gods
Lux known in Latin as 'light'. The god of the sun and the moon and dreams of magick. Dreams of what has been, what could have been and what is yet to come.
Prudens known in Latin as 'wise', likes to mingle with mortals, giving them advice and guiding them onto the correct path.
Pax known in Latin as 'peace', values harmony and balance.
Amare known in Latin as 'love', gives life to all.
Tutum known in Latin as 'safe', upholds the truth.
The Devils
Tenebrisk, the Latin name for 'dark' was given to the shadow being so gruesomely great and powerful, it strikes fear in the hearts of many a brave lion. Only glimpsed once by Bane, many doubt it's existence. However, in your dreams at night...do you hear those cold and mocking whispers? The calling of the terrible one? You may not believe it is real but nevertheless, it will hunt for your soul. This creature is known as one of the five Devils in the land. This prideful being won't let mortals simply gaze upon his form, he despises them.
Asinus, the Latin name for 'fool', is one of the most deadly of the five Devils. He can disguise himself as almost anything in the lands, making it that much harder for lions to recognize the evil one. He mostly plays pranks on the mortals but his 'pranks' can sometimes have devastating effects.
Bellum, the Latin name for 'war', desires destruction and discord.
Mortem, the Latin name for 'death', he craves to take lives, adding souls to his collection. He has an empty shell of a body.
Fame, the Latin name for 'hunger' wishes to consume everything, would lie, cheat and steal.
