Naledi & Jua

Naledi smiled watching how big and strong their little orphan cub grew up to be.“We did well Jua we are great adoptive parents. But don’t you think it’s time we had some by our own blood. our orphan baby will always be our baby but I would like some more little cubs frolicking about!”

Jua chuckled softly at his mate,“Sure sweetheart. I don’t know why I was so nervous about it the topic last time. I guess I was just scared of turning out like my parents and I would be a horrible father.”He shook his head lightly at himself.

The tawny lioness let a small laugh like purr come out at her mate,“I always knew you were going to be great and that’s why I choose you to be my mate. I remember the first time you came into you caught my eye.I’ve never seen someone so bright and sunny like you before and I’m not meaning literally either.You’ve always been so supportive and everyone in the pride.And we didn’t care about each other’s pasts and that’s what’s making this a great thing. I love you to the moon and back J.”

Jua smiled at Naledi and nuzzled while looking at stars momentarily.“Your so sweet and honestly I try there are some moments when I can start a war path.”He said jokingly.“I love you to. I remember you always staring at me.”J playfully flicked her nose with his tail.He got up and stretched for a moment and started walking off.

Naledi hopped up quickly and stared at J oddly,“Where in the great grassland are you going?”Her tail twitched a little.

Jua chuckled at his spirited sassy mate,“Did you forget that our adoptive cub has a festival?”

Naledi’s eyes widened and she bounded quickly to catch up. She playfully bumped into Jua and started a race.As the two lovebirds zoomed through the firefly filled thickets. Jua jumped up into a acacia tree and sprinted through branches momentarily taking the lead from Naledi.Naledi smirked and sped up while digging her dew claws in the soft sodded ground.She skidded to a stop in front of the emblem tree and laughed as Jua ran up and sat down panting.

“I think I won that one.”Naledi teased and silenced for the start of their child’s ceremony.

Jua playfully rolled his eyes and flicked his mates nose with his tail and glued his eyes gently to the Warrior ceremony that was going.He smiled and stood up with his mate and approached their leader and child gently.

As the ceremony ended the pair enjoyed the festival rejoicing their great parenting and the though of new cubs were going to be brought into the world and that there child became a great strong warrior.They smiled and started dancing and singing as a happy family and decided to pull the lion aside.

“We just wanted to let you know that your going to have younger siblings son.”Jua and Naledi murmured to their child and smiled at his gleeful response.

The two starcrossed lovers headed to their den and curled up together in the warmth of the fire and fell asleep together.
