Mild Violence

Okay honestly this one was pretty casual and just a hypothetical scenario that's unlikely to ever really happen because a lot of things about it don't add up when taken to reality. However I still kind of like it.

He may not have canonically kidnapped her, but hey, he ended up kidnapping a different child instead.

Ezekiel belongs to Meg.

Eschiare: *She's wandering around the city, lost and confused, the fear of being on her own starting to settle in; she's debating on turning back and going back to Ezekiel, and she's nearing the verge of tears; in her confusion she nearly bumps into someone on the street*

Eschiare: O-oh! *she backs up and her arms instinctively go up by her chest* S-sorry, sir! I didn't mean to run into you!

Esredes: .... *he looks down at her with an air of almost annoyance* That's okay, watch your step, child. *he walks around her, get out of my way gross human child, I have a job to do*

Eschiare: *she watches him start to walk off, but tears start to form in her eyes and spill over* W-wait!

Esredes: ....? *he looks back* What is it?

Eschiare: U-um, sir, I think I may be lost, if it's not too much trouble, c-could you help me find my father?

Esredes: [-_- I don't care about you or your father, it's your fault you got lost] Who is your father, exactly, child?

Eschiare: H-his name is Ezekiel... h-he's a businessman in this city, he lives somewhere around here...

Esredes: [o-o] And what does he look like?

Eschiare: He's very tall and slender, has black hair with a white tip, black eyes, he wears glasses and only has one arm...

Esredes: *he walks up by Eschiare and leans down, taking her lightly by the chin* Does he ever do any sort of lightning magic?

Eschiare: o-o You know him?!

Esredes: *he smiles at her* Why, yes I do, we go back a long ways. He has a black and teal knochen form, does he not? *he lowers his hand back down*

Eschiare: Y-yeah! Oh, so you're one of the knochens in the city, you know where he is, could you please take me to him?

Esredes: Of course, don't worry little girl, we'll find your father in no time.

Eschiare: Oh, thank you, sir!

Esredes: *He takes her hand* Come along, I know a shortcut to his house. It'll save us walking through crowds of people.

Eschiare: *is pulled along* Oh, okay...! Uh, sir, could you do me a favor when we get there?

Esredes: What favor?

Eschiare: Could you not tell him I was all the way out here...? Like, like I got lost trying to come home from exploring, but not in this area?

Esredes: Hm, all right, I'll keep you being out here a secret. My lips are sealed.

Eschiare: Thank you...

Esredes: So, I don't think I've seen you around here before. How long have you been in the city?

Eschiare: Uh, several years... I came from up north and Ezekiel took me in.

Esredes: All the way up north? That sounds like quite a hefty journey for someone your age.

Eschiare: Well, it was by boat, I didn't fly or anything...

Esredes: So you took a boat down here?

Eschiare: Yeah... things kind of just happened.

Esredes: I see... *the streets the two are walking down begin to run into the side streets at this point* Well, that's quite hospitable of him to take in a knochen child.

Eschiare: Yeah, it was.... *she looks down at the cobblestone, not saying any more*

Esredes: *he notes her silence* So you've taken to like the human concept of having a parent, then, I assume?

Eschiare: Yeah, I guess so, my dad's... I mean, he's really taught me a lot about the world. I don't think I would've been the same if I hadn't come here. *the regret of trying to run away is really starting to settle in* I shouldn't have gotten lost...

Eschiare: [Now that he brings it up, Zeke's done a lot for me... He wouldn't truly go back on that, would he...?]

Esredes: Is that so?

Eschiare: -What? *she looks up again*

Esredes: You said you wouldn't have been the same if you didn't come here.

Eschiare: Oh, yeah, I wouldn't have gotten to learn about humans and make my own identity in their world... I don't think I would have learned as much about myself just being in the wild.

Esredes: [Really...] Well, the human world can be a confusing place. You're better off learning early. A lot of us never step foot into any human civilization until later in life.

Eschiare: I've heard that from some of the knochens here. I remember being overwhelmed myself when I first got off the boat.

Eschiare: There were so many people in one place, so many sounds and scents and sights, it was nothing like the north, and just when I had gotten used to the boat...

Esredes: It's nothing like living in the wild here, isn't it?

Eschiare: No, not at all... though, when you go just outside the city limits and it starts to turn into wilderness, then it feels more like the wild. I like to go there sometimes just for fun.

Esredes: Oh, you're not entirely one for just the city.

Eschiare: Well, both the wild and the city are fun in their own ways.

Esredes: That's nice of you to recognize. Knowing the wild is just as important. There's a lot more of it than there is human civilization, after all.

Eschiare: Yeah...

Eschiare: I think someday I might try to explore the world a bit more. I love this city, but there's just so much I haven't seen of the world.

Esredes: *he comes to a corner, and pauses a moment to make sure this is the way he wants to go, then pulls Eschiare with him around it and continues leading her down an increasingly run-down path* Well, have you ever asked your father about the world before? He's been all around it, you know.

Eschiare: Oh, sort of, I know he's been to a lot of places, but he doesn't like to share a lot about his past...

Esredes: Well, I don't blame him. You're too young to know a lot of it.

Eschiare: What...?

Esredes: I'll spare you the details for now, little one. Perhaps it'll come up later.

Eschiare: No, I want to know what you're talking about. What do you mean you don't blame him?

Esredes: Well... *his grip on her hand tightens, and he quickens his pace, practically pulling her along now* Let's just say that your father has done some not so nice things in his lifetime. Things he'd probably never want to tell you about. It would shatter your image of him entirely... *he turns again, and pulls her into an alleyway*

Eschiare: *she's starting to feel that sense of panic and fear return* Uh, s-sir, I don't think we're going the right way...

Esredes: No, we're not. *he stops and turns to her, forcibly grabbing her other hand by the wrist and pulling them both up in front of her, which makes her shriek* Listen little girl, you've been quite chatty up to this point. It'd be in your best interests to be a little quieter...

Esredes: Didn't your father ever tell you not to run away?

Eschiare: L-let me go! *she tries to free her hands from his grip, but it's firm as iron on them*

Esredes: Now, now, I'm not trying to hurt you or anything. But I do think it's in your best interests not to see your father just yet.

Eschiare: *in her panic, she releases a small icicle from her hand, which goes right into Esredes's arm*

Esredes: ! *he's caught off-guard and recoils, releasing her as his other arm goes to the afflicted one*

Eschiare: *For a second, she's horrified as she sees the results of what she did, but then she takes off and runs, aiming to get out of the alleyway, but before she can even make it out a wave of dizziness suddenly hits her like a freight train and she falls to the ground, her head pounding and swimming as she tries to crawl away*

Esredes: *he examines the icicle and in one careful motion, pulls it out of his arm as it begins to bleed a little. Assessing the damage as nothing severe, he ignores it and walks over to Eschiare, grabbing her by the chest and lifting her off the ground*

Eschiare: *she begins to scream, but he moves a hand over her mouth, muffling it, and quickly pins her arms behind her with the other arm*

Esredes: I meant what I said. *Eschiare watches in horror as the hand over her mouth grows in length, the fingernails transforming into large, black claws* Be quiet, or these are going all over your face.

Eschiare: *with her mind still clouded, all she can do is whimper in response*

Esredes: *he forcefully drags her over to the middle of the alleyway, then plants his feet firmly on the ground, keeping his grip on her steady as his body begins to shift forms and grow in size, molding into knochen form as Eschiare is rendered helpless. Finally, the much larger knochen hand pinning her arms together unravels its fingers and wraps them around her entire body, including one taking its place over her mouth, and before she even knows it, she's being lifted up into the air as Esredes unravels his wings and takes flight, quickly flying away from the city with her dangling from his grip in the air*
