Aaron stays until closing hours one night. It's a weekday so plenty of others leave earlier than usual. Strangely enough, Aaron hasn't said much all evening. He has only either been drinking, looking around, or putting his head on the table. Lucius can't help but wonder as to why Aaron is acting in such a way. He was usually so talkative and lively so seeing him being so down was an unusual sight.

"Having problems?", Lucius asks.

Aaron murmurs something while his head is still on the table. Lucius assumed he was asleep from the position he was in but Aaron lifts his head up to disprove that.

"...Friend problems...", Aaron slurred. "A good friend of mine hasn't talked to me in a while and it's", Aaron runs a hand through his hair. "...Driving me crazy."

"..."

Lucius says nothing but he can most likely assume who it was about. After all, which other friend of his would put him through so much to the point where Aaron had to keep drinking to dull his senses? Lucius continues wiping wine glasses as he listens to Aaron continually groan about his current predicament. After a while, it was silent yet again, save for the sounds of wine glasses being put away.

"Hey," Aaron said, looking at Lucius straight in the eye.

"Hm."

"Do you ever feel like kissing someone really bad?"

Lucius felt a slight pang in his cold heart. Of course he does. Funny how the person asking him that is the one he wants to do it to. "I want to do more than just kiss", Lucius thinks. He holds in the thought though, and only replied with a shake of his head.

"I see," Aaron replies. He looks past Lucius, looking deep in thought. He turns his head to look at Lucius again and asks "Hey, could you come here?"

Lucius was surprised to hear him ask that but continued to keep on a straight face.

"Why?", Lucius asked.

"I just... need someone to hug."

"I'm not really the type of person who does hugs."

Aaron made a face as if he was pleading. Lucius knew he could not resist Aaron if he made a face like that so he sighed and went around the counter to go where Aaron was sitting.

"I'm here. Now what did you wa-"

Lucius got cut off by Aaron's arms suddenly hugging his waist. They were in a slightly awkward position as Aaron was sitting on a bar stool while Lucius was standing but that didn't stop Aaron. Lucius didn't know what to do with his arms so he settled on placing them around Aaron's shoulders.

Lucius hasn't been hugged this tight by someone in forever. The last time he experienced this was probably with his sister, but that was more than a decade ago. It was also different, as that was the comforting hug of a beloved family member. This was... something else.

None of them said anything for a while until Aaron started hugging Lucius tighter.  He buries his head in Lucius' chest and inhales deeply.

"You smell good..." Aaron sighs.

Lucius' heart beats slightly faster. The perfume he used is actually something he stole from one of the customers who went to the bathroom one time but he keeps his mouth shut about that fact.

Lucius knew he had to put a stop to this but deep down he also knew he's been wanting this so badly. Why let an opportunity like this go to waste, he thought.

"You're drunk. Drink some water", Lucius said.

"Mmm..."

Aaron ignores Lucius' words and continues to inhale Lucius' scent while rubbing his back. Lucius knew Aaron wouldn't be doing this while he was sober and for just a moment, he was pleased he was able to get Aaron's hands on himself.

Aaron raises his head to look at Lucius directly in the eye. Lucius looks at him back. It was silent but their gazes were intense.

"I hope you don't mind what I'm about to do," Aaron said with his eyes half-lidded.

Lucius smiles slyly and asks "Why would I?", and proceeds to close the distance between them.

There wasn't much to the kiss at first. It was sweet, simple. If it lasted a little shorter it might have just been called a peck. Aaron and Lucius looked at each other afterwards. They both bore the same expression as before but knew they didn't want that to be the last of it.

Aaron was the one who initiated it the second time, and this time it wasn't just a simple kiss. This time it was a bit messier, with them going back at it again and again. Lucius pulled on Aaron's tie to kiss him deeper and Aaron ran his hand through Lucius' hair to push him closer. Lucius was half tempted to sit on Aaron's lap but the high bar stool made it somewhat difficult. He then settled for pulling Aaron to make him stand up and to push him against the wall.

Hands were everywhere as they were continually making out-- Their hair, their clothes, and at some point Aaron's trench coat and Lucius' vest were discarded on the bar table. Through all of this, Lucius wanted to feel bad for taking advantage of Aaron in this state but it's not like he started it the second time. It was almost like a dream come true.

...That was, until Aaron opened his mouth.

"Duncan...", Aaron sighed between kisses.

Lucius froze. He pushed himself back to get a good look at Aaron's face. It seems like Aaron realized his slip of the tongue by the horrified expression on his face.

"L-Lucius. I am so sorry, I--"

"That's alright", Lucius said, forcing a smile. "I think it's about time you go home. It's already late."

"..."

None of them said a word after that. Aaron picked up his trench coat, left some money on the table, and looked at Lucius.

"...Sorry about that. I, uh." Aaron couldn't look at him in the eye. "I don't know what went through me and I--"

"Save it." Lucius said, cutting him off. "You're drunk. You probably won't even remember this by tomorrow".

Aaron didn't know what to say. He was starting to get dizzy and walked straight to the door. He waved Lucius goodbye with a sad smile and went out into the cold night.

Well, so much for that, Lucius thought. He got what he wanted though so he couldn't complain. Lucius closed up for the night and for the first time, he went home with a smile.
