Sparkle In my Eye (theRingoZebra)

Things had settled down rather nicely for a pair of Tatra Salkio. The white blue male jumped from point to point of cold ice, it nipped at his paws as he tried to reach the top of the icy hill. His last jump ended in a slip, with a yelp he flipped over but instead of sliding down the ridge again, a pair of jaws gripped his scruff letting him get to his feet. Looking over at the saviour the darker Salkio smiled back, with a yip he nuzzled his female companion as they continued up the ridge Despite how frosty and snow covered the area was, no snow fell. The sun shown a deep heat on to the land, warming the pair as they moved through the lands. Reaching the top, they both look over at the forest “and you are sure there is something here? This is not you trying to kidnap me since Idunn was not leaving us alone?” The dark girl spoke in a cheeky tone, “Babe, no, you know I love our time spent with Idunn, every, single second of it“ he smirked as he jumped in front of her and with a cheeky grin he kept talking “I swear your gonna love this, you know I don’t often wonder about by myself, s’just not me, but when I found this I took the time to dig a bit deeper”. The Jill looked at him to go on but he did not. As they made their way through the forest which became dense as time passed. The Hob stops in front of a dark opening, its cold grey stones framing the black hole within. “A cave, Smosher this was quite far to get to, so I assume its more than a cave” she giggled. “Of course it is my dear Princess“ he purred, dashing ahead of her into the dark. She followed at her own pace behind. The cave was dark and damp with melting ice, her paws getting soggy in the puddles of water. Princess looked around a little confused “Smosher?” she questioned at her missing partner, with no response she walked forward more carefully. “Hello?” she questioned again “close your eyes” Smosher said from the darkness making her jump a little, closing her eyes and moving again she felt the soft flank of her silver companion, she waited on the ok. As we moved forward and when she felt Smosher at her side no more. “Open them” he whispered. Opening her eyes, she let her mouth open as her eyes widen. A rainbow of colours floods her sight as gems of all sized reflect in the small amount of light from the cave. In awe, she looked over at the fool who brought her here, he was nipping at some gems to chip them loose and pick them up. He brought over her favourite colours, or at least what he thought was, and with a goofy grin spoke “What do you think? Amazing right “. He pranced around the area, strutting in what he assumed was a cool fashion, letting the colours reflect on his coat. A rainbow Salkio who would have guessed. She giggled at his antics “this is rather amazing, you really suit the rainbow“ she said, dipping to pick up a gem between her teeth in curiosity. “Of course, I am fabulous “he responded with a flick of his head, she rolled her eyes with another giggle. “We should show the whelps this place, I am sure the young would be amazed “she pondered out loud” of course like a real family trip or something!” he yipped “yes I’m sure Bakardi, I mean everyone would love this” she agreed, Smosher dipped in excitement a little. “I ….. yeh sure” she noticed his sudden change in behaviour. Jumping to him and flicking her tail at him “come on now, what?” she asked he froze in place thinking carefully about his next words. Sighing she nudged at his muzzle with her own “I thought a place like this could be, more of our family place“ he gave a look of hope at Princess, she lowered her head for a minute to think. “No I get it, let me think about it ok? I don’t really hide things from them.” He nodded in agreement before the pair slipped back out of the dark cave returning home once more.
