Journey to the trinity tree - Prompt five

After about an hour of painfully resisting the voice it just seemed to suddenly stop and everything was silent. About half of the whole group had been taken, strangely enough most of them were males, maybe the call was stronger for them than the females. Xia, Tasso and Pecora followed the rest of the cats as they made their way out of the tree an eeriness among them. They were ready for anything although with half their group gone there were higher risks. The scouts were the first to leave in search of the missing cats.

It was then that everyone noticed the Goddess was still in the tree, exactly where she was the first time they arrived. She still had the same lazy posture as she watched all the cats below.

Tasso being Tasso was the first to speak up. “Miss Goddess, can you tell us what is going on? Why are we here? Where did those other lions go?” He was quick to fire question after question. The lioness simply waited for him to finish before speaking. “That will become known in due time young Tasso.” She said in a tranquil voice. The male was not happy with the reply. “What do you mean we will know in time? Why can’t you tell us now? How do you know my name?”

The goddess said nothing this time and instead stood up and retreated to the branches of the trees, seemingly done answering questions. Tasso was frustrated and growled slightly, he did not like not knowing what is going on and that conversation seemed to irritate him more.
