The bus was bumpy as the scenery outside the dirtied glass went by in a blur. The sun was already beginning is slow descent, the sky was turning a peachy orange pink and there was close to no one on the bus. The long, and frankly boring bus trip wasn't the first choice of getting home, that was teleporting and inconveniently for them, it had coincidently stopped working just when they had needed it to get home so therefore the bus was the next easiest option. Captain sat in muted silence, half leaning against gainst the shaking window of the seat he was sat in, resting his face on a palm with his eyes closed. It was tiring going about day to day life without the mask but doing so seemed to be the only way he could communicate without literally needing to spell something out to someone. Lila interrupted his thoughts by taping gently on his shoulder. He looked over his shoulder to see her peering at a map overhead of the seats. She noticed him and looked down.

"We might need to get off the next stop and walk a bit. I think the stop is in about ten minutes, soo-"

She smiled half heartedly, obviously also tired from the long trip. Captain nodded sleepily and went back to starting blankly out of the window. Not too long after, Lila felt a tap on her shoulder.

"Excuse me but I overheard you and your... friend talking and I just wanted to say that the next stop is in seven minutes not ten." An older looking lady was sitting behind her.

"Thank you?" Lila replied with a confused smile.

"Absolutely no problem, I just have one question-"

"Yes?"

"Should he be out here?" She gestured in front of Lila and Captain half turned to see what the fuss was.

"Yes? Why would you think he shouldn't?"

"I don't know. He just looks as though he should be contained in a hospital."

Lila laughed awkwardly and she and Captain both made eye contact with the lady.

"Nothing he has its contagious-"

"Nuh uh, let him speak. You've done enough speaking." She shushed Lila with more force than was necessary and craned her neck to better see Captain, who just simply turned away. She scoffed and complained about how rude he was being, making snide comments and motioning at him.

"Excuse me but, he can't speak." Lila said firmly, locking on to the lady's eyesight.

"I'm sure he can sweety, give him a chance."

There was a long awkward pause as she waited for a response, the closest thing being a glare from Capitan. She asked for him to speak to prove her point but he completely ignored her.

"Why do I bother, I knew from the start you two would mock me. I know you can speak I saw you before." She stood up and complained on her way to the front as the bus slowed and came to a stop and she glared at the two of them as the bus pulled away again.

"Nevermind, next stop it is." Lila declared.
