The birds calls stopped for miles around as if the tower gave off an unpleasant aura that only they could detect. Sitting cross-legged inside, he sat in deafening silence. It's crumbling walls looked as if they might cave in at any moment. A gigantic pink flowered tree spiraled out in the middle in to the sunlight, sprawling out and covering the hole in the celing, letting slim amounts of light splatter through. It was shady everywhere. Exept for one tiny looking grass patch. It looked out over the expanding mountains and the sunset pink sky, many more trees similar to the one in the center grew across the plains before the mountains. He wouldn't dare sit there.

Silently he shut his eyes and looked down, the only sound was his breaths which were slow. Occasionally he'd remember something and shudder. A stick cracked behind him and his eyes snapped open. He looked around for a short while but dismissed it, shutting them again.

Suddenly something tapped his back and he whipped his neck around, meeting eyes with a pastel pink troll. "Hi?" She whispered with a friendly smile and sat next to him. "I knew I'd find you here -" She was cut off by a glare. "Lila. How many times to I have to tell you NOT to come after me?" He stopped glaring and turned towards the tree. "And I've told you before, I'm going to come here if I think you need help." She smiled but he just turned away. "I don't need your help. Just go home." She was confused, was that a hint of sadness? "Sounds to me like someone's a little sad. Come on! You can tell me!" She smiled a toothy grin. "I promise I won't interrupt!" "No." He turned to the tiny sunlit grass patch and stared at it without knowing. "Hey! Helloo? Earth to Captain?" Lila waved a hand in front of his face and he blinked a few times. "Oh, phew, I got a little worried there. I -" She sighed.

"Fine. I can tell you just want some time alone." She stood up to leave but stopped. "No. Wait. I'll tell you, just don't tell anybody?" She tilted her head and sat back down. "Ever since the incident here last week, I can't stop thinking about it. That grass patch. It's got too many bad memories attached to it and now there's another one to add to the list." She looked at him with a little empathy. "I hate this place, but something just keeps calling me back here, you know? I can't NOT come here." He grew distant. "Oh. If you don't mind me asking, what bad memories?" He stayed in where ever he was, as if ignoring her question. "Okay. I'll leave. If you want, I can forget I heard anything?" She began walking to the exit until he replied and she stopped. She turned to him and smiled a little, with worry in her eyes. "No. I don't want that to happen. Just promise you'll keep it a secret?" He didn't turn to her, staying, staring at the place he was before. "I will." She looked over to him once more before beginning the trek home.
