Author's Notes

Draw or write about your character seeing a dragon for the first time or interacting with a new dragon. Do they love them? Hate them? Are they afraid? Most people see a dragon for the first time when they are children, but people in urban regions might go for a while without seeing them.

Meeting a dragon

The winged blorb groaned and shook what sand she could from her face. Grumbling faintly and trying to figure out exactly where she was. One moment she had been in Xaiothru's caverns, hoping to get a glimpse of the creature, and the next.... what? Her wings felt like jello and her head was ringing... or was that her ears. Ears, technically, Tinnitus, tinnire to ring ro tinkle like bells... the perception of noise or ringing in the ears. Her mind supplied the words and she groaned again, then blinked as the rather dark sky suddenly turned black and white. Scrunching her face up, it also had eyes now? Oh... Hello, yes... words were good. She shook her head again, and tried to bounce up. Huffing for the resistance, but her tail snapped free like a rubber band an instant later and she rolled upright again. Shaking herself harder and peering about blearily. "Hoi, friend?" she chirped, asked, but tilted her head at her fellow silla. Studying the ears and his smile, his tail was nice too, vibrant opposed to the monotone of him... interesting. "I'm Udua, nice to greetcha?"

They'd not been in this part of the forest before, okay... they had, but not this particular route... or.. not very often anyawy; Isa hummed to itself, bouncing through the darkened glade, Cam was searching out in fron, he and Kyran had definelty not been here, Chusi though had, but she was on edge. A sudden blast had Cam and Kyran pressed against Chusi, the dragoness older, Isa flattened both ears a moment, the feel familiar... in a old way; still it was adventurer and who knew what was around the next tree.

The crater was impressive, the three dragons spreading out, Cam darting down the side, he'd spotted what looked to be a treasure chest.. but it was empty, drooping he started looking aorund further. Chusi headed for the center the odd shape half buried in the ground catching her attention, Kyran was slower more wary, the earth feld different here.

Isa though rolled down the side, coming to a halt next to Chusi, a grin spreading on its face as it waited for the other one to wake..... they were never out cold long.... Chusi whuffled worriedly, running her whiskers over the fallen stilla, as if checking to make sure it was okay. Isa waited patiently, tail swiping as it finally began to stir. Hello-nya." Isa chirped back, its gaze on a faded bit of old fabric that fluttered, caught on a tree. "What were you doing in Xaiothru's lands-nya?" Isa asked curious, very very few of its species ever went there..... Chusi nudged him as Cam and Kyran came to peer at the other blob.... they'd never come across another like their rider before, even if tis one had wings. "I'm Isa-nya."

Her ears pricked for the question, though her tail swatted the whiskers away as she wriggled, ticklish. Her antics stopped at the words of the other stills, and she considered the same. Her wings doing an odd little flutter, which in hindsight might have been an odd attempt at shrugging. "I wanted to see it." the bat offered, instantly flapping her wings to get closer to the odd creatures. She didn't recognize them, at aaaall. She knew there were a lot of monsters, but she was fairly confident she could identify most of them? So, "What are you?" she asked, buzzing around the three not unlike a humming bird, a small sound, like 'oro' slipping out under her breath now and again, before darting back to Isa. "What are they?" she repeated, eagerly, dropping back to the soil so as to avoid being above the other.

Almost belatedly she blinked, realizing he had introduced himself, and shook herself again. "Pleasure to meetcha, Isa."

Chusi followed the fluttering of the other orb, too used to Isa bouncing around to be really bothered by it, Cam and Kyran were significanly more interested, young as they were; though the metal dragon was soon disctracted by what else was in this area., Kyran hesitated a moment, before following. "Dragons." Chusi said softly, running her whiskers back over the second blob, though more to see her than anything. "Chusi, Cam and Kyran are dragons-nya." Isa replied, then considered its words. "Not dragons like dragons-nya," it corrected itself, dragons back home were very different, though many tolerated their kind, and weren't overly cruel or callous. "But dragons of here-nya." Isa continued, rolling into the other one without thinking, it was an affectionate act, before bouncing back out of crater. "Like Stilla, lots of types-nya."Cam and Kyran turned from their looting to follow, though Chusi remained to watch Udua; just in case she needed help. "Can show-nya." Isa purred peering back down. "Lots of places to see-nya."

Her head tilted for the singular word, but she nodded for the clarification, and more for the offer. Giving a playful purr for the bump and bouncing against the other blorb in return. "Would like that." she agreed, petting the whiskers slightly, to avoid them tickling too much. Her wings flared and flapped to help her bounce out if the hole herself, smiling for the attentiveness of the odd tarry dragon.... Chusi. She reminded herself. They could speak and had names, so she needed to think in names, rather than traits. That would be polite. She nodded to herself and followed the other stilla curiously. "Did you come from the north caves too?" she asked suddenly, curious if something there was putting them... well, here instead? And if so did they need to try and fix that?
