Corran and his father

Corran was the result of an arranged pairing within his old pride. His parents were both mighty warriors who were strong and fast, the result of generations of carefully planned pairings. It was hoped Corran would continue the legacy and become a strong warrior. Throughout his childhood his father pushed him far beyond his limits, more than any of his other litter mates in hopes of "making him stronger". This put a huge strain on his physical and mental health. Going into adulthood he kept the mindset of his father where you can't show any weakness. If he was struggling he didn't believe he could tell anyone in fears of being looked down on. Some days he would work himself to the point of collapsing. Eventually he was able to escape from his pride and joined Echolake where he, to this day, has the same mindset, although he is gradually learning that he can rely on the other members of the pride and doesn't have to carry everything in his back.
