{Quest} Phoenix's Upon a Treasure Map on Viridian

As the 2 followed the weird marks in the tree they wondered how far they had traveled as the forest got thicker and thicker but they could still manage to find the way they were going “jeez I wonder where this will lead” “I do as well Phoe-“suddenly Akuma’s ear twitched “do you hear that Phoenix?” Phoenix then started to listen more closely to his surroundings “yea I do sounds kind of like water?” Akuma nods in agreement “well this seems kind of pointless now maybe we should head back Akuma” Phoenix turned around to head back “no I say we still follow, we don’t know what could be over there even if it just sounds like water” “I guess your right, lets continue then but I’m laying on you for the rest of the way” so he floated up and laid down on Akuma “jeez your lazy sometimes Phoenix, actually you always are unless Sachi or cooking is involved” Phoenix stayed quite as he couldn’t really fight against that “told you so anyway ill continue walking and let you know if I see anything” “alright” so Akuma started walking down the path trying to make his way through all the branches and vines “actually Phoenix it might be better if u do float as I’m having trouble getting through everything” “fine ill get down” so he floated down as once he did Akuma shrunk down to a size where he was still a little bigger then Phoenix but wouldn’t have so many problems walking through everything “that’s much better thanks Phoenix, well lets continue” so they both took off again having small talk here and there “the sound of water is getting louder Phoenix so we must be getting close” “yea sure seems like, maybe we should take a little break we have been walking for quite some time” and as he finished his sentence he floated to the ground and laid down “I do believe we could use a break, try not to anger any birds” Akuma said while smirking “IT WAS ONE TIME” Phoenix sat up fast in anger to yell at his familiar when suddenly he looked a little scared “uh Phoenix you alright?” Akuma turned his head to where Phoenix was looking and saw a bird nest and quickly got up and moved away from it “jeez these things are everywhere, as long as we try not to move much and stay quiet they might not see us as a threat” Phoenix nodded but keeping his eyes on the nest where the 2 adult birds were staring at them “I think they want us to leave Akuma” “then I guess break time is over, come on lets continue” as Akuma started to walk away Phoenix slowly followed behind trying not to anger the ‘evil birds’ as he now calls them “Phoenix hurry up we have far enough away as to where they wont attack us also I can see the water now” Phoenix finally snapped out of it and quickly caught up to his familiar and they both quickly ran/floated over to the water “something looks off about this water don’t you think?” “yea its not going the right way it should be going down stream but it’s going up stream towards the mountain we were heading to” Akuma looked around and also noticed boat “maybe we should head in that boat and see where the water goes” he slowly stepped into the boat to see if it was stable “boat is good so we can ride in it” “then I guess that’s what we are doing” so Phoenix followed and go into the boat and now they are off to see where this adventure leads now.
