Act 2

Stepping out onto the warm stage just full of lights that would leave his dark loving dragons hissing and hiding from the stage, he was at least familiar with the life that was full of glamour and glory. He was blinded for a moment but his eyes adjusted quickly. As he came into view of the crowd, the soft murmurs turned to a loud cheer, happy to have their stars revealed to them after the long wait that wasn’t more than a good half hour as they waited for it to hit show time and start.

Out in the open, his nicely curled pigtails swayed in the nice breeze as he froze. His legs going rubbery but thankfully no one noticed his pause as Artemis joined him on the stage now as well. So carefree and excited, he could feel her own nerves trying to take over the usually shy female who wanted to be loved and adored just as she was when performing at home. Starting to move again, the soft fabric of the skirts underlays felt nice against his bare skin on his legs. Even if in heels that many men found stumble worthy, he walked with grace as a grin came to his lips. Wrapping his arm with his dragons, the music started right on cue and with a deep breath he left it to luck now.

His heart was beating out of his chest, part of him wanting to just collapse on the stage and get dragged off by his sweet ginger husband who he could see watching from behind the curtain that earlier he had taken to peering from behind. That would leave his sweet girl alone though, and what sort of rider would he be abandoning his dragon in her time of need? Not a very good one, that’s what kind. He knew the dam would understand and go on, she was a good girl like that, but he didn’t want to leave her alone and scared while trying to reach her dreams. It wasn’t easy taking on the exciting stage life alone, and he didn’t want her to think dreams were just meant to be dreams.

Lacing their fingers together as he pulled her closer in her really very pretty outfit that matched his own, as their skin made contact he could feel her flutter stomach calm a little bit more as she held him tight and reached out to grab a microphone that was tossed out onto the stage from the side and caught easily by the dam. She had a lot of practice with the more rough boys at home, and it was a good thing too. Wrapping her fingers around the microphone she held tightly as if it was the only thing keeping her ground, Kaz was still proud of her.

The opening lyrics came out smoothly, the curse words that usually made her nervous flowed out as Kaz joined in. Their voices harmonizing before they split off, another microphone twirled through the air as his slender fingers wrapped around and in only that few moments of pause was back in the fray as he let Artemis sing one of the parts she sang alone before he rejoined for the pre-chorus that he sang out on his own.

“So you're gonna lie to me, fuck you.

Try to fake cry to me, that's cool.

Said that you would ride with me, guess not.

So you can keep on calling, but I ain't gonna respond.”

Smiling at Atty as the microphone cord wrapped around his arm, he was a master of those useless tricks he used to just impress his darling who always appreciated the silly things he could do that never were useful in their day to day life. Useful talents were all the rage on stage though, as Kaz learned long ago.

Moving right into the chorus, he closed his eyes as his hips swayed and legs moved to the rhythm that found it's way into his as he calmed. He could hear Artemis also right on cue, joining in after what was merely a pause of a second that moved right into the final chorus.

“Cause I don't need your love, I don't need your cash.

I don't want your stupid shit, you can have it back.

You keep saying that I'm crazy not to take you back.

But if that makes me crazy, you're a psychopath.” Pausing for a few seconds, he could at least tell the crowd was impressed and enjoyed the show.

“But if that makes me crazy, you're a psychopath.”
