> Banba is captured from her village in February of year 1. Food is scarce and she is scavenging desperately, allowing her to be caught in a trap. She is moved to the kidnapper's basement and for the most part, left alone there
> Kib is captured from the same village in April of year 1. He is lured into a trap with false cries for help, after which he is moved to the kidnapper's basement. Kib and Banba are told to 'get used to each other'
After being trapped for four months (April-Aug), the pair are told to reproduce. When they seem none to pleased with this suggestion, the kidnapper tells them he'll poison them both if they do not comply
Banba is tested monthly for pregnancy, but fails to have a child in the first year
Banba tests positive in April of the 2nd year. Cur is born in captivity in January of the 3rd year. The trio is left alone until March, at which point the kidnapper has more demands. This time, Banba gets pregnant first try and has Minerva in December
The kidnapper becomes frustrated as his two Watyr-tread Beholders are only having...Beholder children. He goes silent and does not make any demands on the 4th year. Banba and Kib raise their two daughters and hope for escape
The kidnapper is able to purchase Morgan, an enslaved Satyr, in February of year 5. He seems less willing to wait around and makes demands for children immediately. Kib is forbidden from being the sire until further notice. Morgan is distressed, but forced to comply, as the kidnapper is now threatening harm on Cur and Minerva. Banba has Pilgrim in the following November
The kidnapper is silent for several months, including into the beginning of year 6. He appears to make demands in March, but most of the captives have fallen ill from poor conditions and are unable to comply. With little other choice, the kidnapper has to wait until they're well
Banba is well enough to have a child as of June, but fails to get pregnant until November of year 7
> Giovanni is born in June of year 8. He's two months premature and very ill. It's unclear if he will survive. The kidnapper goes silent for some time
At this point, the basement is getting quite cramped with seven occupants. They're moved to another location in August, being an underground level of an abandoned warehouse. This is massive in comparison. The kidnapper had to make some big promises to get it (though it's unclear why he didn't...go smaller scale) and is now stressed about cash. He demands more children, being extra hostile this time around. Banba appears to become pregnant in December, but the test was faulty. This is not discovered until several months into year 9
Banba becomes pregnant (for real) in August. In February of year 10, she has Ren and Katie. These two are twins and three months premature this time. Much time has to be devoted to keeping them alive
Once the babies have stabilized in July, the kidnapper returns to make more demands. Morgan however, nearly dies from infection and is unable to sire for some time. Kib is deemed not profitable enough as a sire and so the group is left alone for a long stretch of time
The kidnapper attempts to sell off Cur in February at 7 years old, but Cur attempts to kill the buyer. She is returned to the warehouse, but the kidnapper is furious. He goes mostly silent, restricting food access as a group punishment
Banba is demanded to have a child in August. She tests positive in November, but miscarries in January of year 12 due to poor health. The lost baby is named Indigo and presumed female. Banba falls ill shortly after until March. The kidnapper is forced to return food rations to normal or risk the death of his project
The kidnapper does not make any demands for the remainder of year 13 and the whole of year 14. During this absence, the group works on digging a hole in the wall. This hole connects to a small storage room where the older children are to hide if they're unable to keep out of the kidnapper's sight. The group then begins gradually faking the children's' deaths, starting with Cur and Minerva
The kidnapper returns to find his captives seem to be slowly dying off. Panicked, he demands a higher output of babies, but this...isn't really possible. The adults do their best to appease him within the realm of reality. Banba tests positive in February of year 15 and has Jericho in July. He's four months early and her worst premature. The group stages an escape and she's able to mad dash to the hospital where the baby gets emergency care (much of it being in the form of magic). She remains absent until October when she returns to the warehouse of her own accord. Everyone is still there, albeit a bit worried
> The kidnapper is silent for a while, being incredibly fearful about being caught. Banba though, did not report the incident while loose as she A: did not really know about law enforcement and B: just assumed he would kill her family if she did. She did not return without smuggling in a spare set of keys, however. She kept this a secret and tried to reassure the kidnapper so prevent repercussions. He remained quiet and paranoid, seemingly too shaken to do much
The family increases the rate at which the children hide in the walls. Initially, they were waiting for the kids to be old enough to work as slaves, but now they were planning an escape, so moving faster was better. The group feigned horrible illness, masquerading that it took many of the children. By the beginning of year 16, only the children who need constant care do not hide. In a full panic, the kidnapper insists Banba have more children regardless of her apparent health. As she was not really sick, she became pregnant in April. A pair of twins, Breeze and Mathew were born in December, one month early
The kidnapper attempts to sell of Breeze and Mathew in February of year 17. The family did not really have to worry about this, as the potential buyer was sorely unimpressed by the whole setup in a dirty warehouse that smelled of sickness. The kidnapper blamed the group for this and demanded they behave 'properly' next time
The children in the walls finish a tunnel up to the abandoned warehouse in August, allowing them further space to hide as well as the ability to scavenge. They start widening the tunnel for older family member to fit through and assign scouts to watch for the kidnapper so people who are "still alive" could be downstairs when he arrived
After seemingly a bout of pouting, the kidnapper returns in December to demand another baby. He's noticeably acting nice this time and the family becomes suspicious. Regardless, Benba tests positive in February of year 18 and has Soleil in September, two months early. The kidnapper is outraged, as he planned to steal the baby away immediately and sell it, but it's in too poor health to do so now. As he announced his plan, the family was quick to fake Soleil's death. It proved difficult to hide her in the walls due to her age, but the other children were able to help significantly
With the scout kids pretty well established upstairs, Banba attempts to use her stolen keys to sneak out and search for help in December. To her dismay, the locks have been changed
Kib has become quite fond of Banba and the two of them mistakenly conceive in July of year 20. Cameron is born in April of year 21 as a result. The kidnapper makes a now rare appearance and catches sight of the baby before she "dies". He notices she seems to be quite healthy and his waning interest in the project is renewed. The family still "kills" her off in October, but the kidnapper seems undeterred. Worries spread that he's discovered their plan of escape. The kids upstairs are warned to be extra vigilant. Sensing their parents' alarm, the kids begin plotting harder than before
Banba obeys the kidnapper's new demands, testing positive in January of year 22. As her pregnancy continues, it becomes apparent that something abnormal is happening. What she doesn't know is the kidnapper stole some peculiar birth potions and laced all the food with it, hoping it would take effect on her. Sure enough, she gives birth in August, one month early. Instead of one or two good-sized babies, she has four very small ones: Jackie, Sky, Maggie, and Kal. Cur also suffered strange effects from the food and had Gurney on the same day despite there being no father. This is the last straw for the family. They collect their things and disappear into the upper warehouse the same day, before the kidnapper could arrive. They collapse the tunnel behind them so they cannot be followed
Being trapped in the warehouse, the family is no longer getting food rations or other needed supplies. They've already been struggling, as they don't get things for the "dead" kids, but now they don't have anything at all. The warehouse windows have boards and bars over them. The doors are bolted and chained shut. Things look bleak
The family is able to survive in the warehouse until year 24 through old caches of food with long storage lives and holes in the roof that let in water. It's not a good situation, but they aren't threatened with death. And Banba isn't a baby machine anymore
While the kidnapper wasn't smart enough to check the warehouse, some other people were. He was killed by some thugs and then the warehouse was broken into. The whole family was rounded up over the series of several months and fully moved to a different facility by December. It was unclear what these new captors wanted with them, but they were in little cells this time. It wasn't looking great
They were held hostage until year 26, with strange people occasionally coming in to look and ponder at them. They weren't sure if they'd become a zoo or something worse was in their future. Thankfully, they weren't underground this time. Some of the cells had windows in them, but these were boarded up. Pilgrim's cell though, was giving way from time. He was able to stick his hand out and wave, which he did every day. Finally, in a crisp October, someone saw him. They set him loose, but quickly flaked as this was a very big, very bad situation. Desperate to save his family, Pilgrim asked every person he saw for help until he came across Pepper a few days later. She rallied her troops and ended the family's long captivity
