Evie's Very Interesting Day

4:30 AM: Theo wakes up. Theo makes Jamalade.

4:45 AM: Nerina wakes up. Nerina brings Eve downstairs and makes Jamalade.

5 AM: Two Kalosian guards knock at the door. They collect Theobald, manacle him, and take him away for questioning for one hour.

Theo, 5-6 AM: Finds that he had a prophetic dream about his master being murdered. He is interviewed about the circumstances by a man similar to the one in his dream named Dorian Adler, views the body, and then is returned home in manacles.

Nerina, 5-6 AM: Worries, frets, cleans the jamalade mess off the wall, cleans up breakfast, begins plunking disinterestedly at the lute

6 AM: Theo returns home. Nerina probes about where he was. He reveals that he had a prophetic dream about his master being murdered by two figures with wands (one with greasy gray-blond hair in a blue cape) which, apparently, came true, as the wounds on the body matched the ones created in his dream.

6:15 AM: Dorian Adler, *powerful mage*, uses an invisibility spell no I am not kidding to sneak into the apartment of *two first level characters*. Theo barely notices him. He uses something to freeze Nerina in place as he tells Theo he should forget about everything. Theo rises, names Dorian, and Dorian says "Bad decision." He casts a spell that knocks Nerina completely out of hit points — no save, since she's immobilized. She goes down, and he stabilizes her, but she's still unconscious. Dorian then casts *something* that wipes Theo's memories from 5 AM through 6:30 AM and replaces them with a blank period. He says that he's just noticed Nerina on the floor, and Theo should probably tend to her. He then exits.

6:30 AM: Theo moves Nerina to the couch to rest, and sits at the table doing nothing. For an hour.

7:30 AM: Nerina wakes up. She looks at Theo and asks him what happened to the man who attacked her. He is confused, because his memories follow:

4:30 AM D1: wake up, Jamalade

5 AM D1: leave the apartment, [???]

6 AM D1: re-enter the apartment, [???]

6:30 AM D1: Dorian informed him that Nerina had passed out on the floor and he should tend to her, then left.

Nerina's memories at this time follow the original series of events. She, panicking, tries to convince him that her memories of events are correct. As soon as she asks him who "Dorian" is, there is a knock at the door.

8:00 AM: Dorian Adler appears at the door of the apartment. He claims he has lost his hat, which is a blue fedora, like a real asshole hat, and he would like to retrieve it. Against Nerina's obvious wishes, Theo heads into the apartment to look around. Dorian asks Nerina some questions; she lies, and actually manages to succeed in deceiving him, about how she burned her shirt. He wipes her memory regardless. Her memories now follow these events:

4:45 AM D2: Nerina wakes up. Nerina brings Eve downstairs and makes Jamalade.

5-6 AM D2: Worries, frets, cleans the jamalade mess off the wall, cleans up breakfast, begins plunking disinterestedly at the lute.

6 AM D2: Theo returns home. Nerina probes about where he was. He reveals that he had a prophetic dream about his master being murdered and subsequently saw his master's body with similar wounds.

6:15 AM D2: Dorian Adler, *powerful mage,* enters the apartment to discuss with them the recent events of a lecture he gave at her school, and some comments Nerina had. Nerina offers him coffee, burns herself on the stove, falls, and knocks herself out.

`6:30 AM D2: Theo moves Nerina to the couch to rest, and sits at the table doing nothing. For an hour.

7:30 AM D2: Nerina wakes up. She looks at Theo and asks him what happened to the man who attacked her. He is confused.

8:30 AM: Nerina, standing at the door, blinks at Dorian. She asks him about his lecture. HE FAILS AGAINST HER INSIGHT CHECK OF 6. Suspicious that she can't recall his "great lecture", she tails him into the middle of town, carrying Eve, incessantly asking him questions, until he covers her mouth with his hand and teleports away. Theo cannot find the hat.

8:45 AM: Nerina confronts Theo about the missing lecture and his dead master, still holding Eve. They steadily realize that there is nobody on the street. They return home, shaken.

9:00 AM: There is a knock at the door. Nerina and Theo open it. There is a Kalosian guard, who says he is here for Dorian Adler's hat. It has appeared, magically, on the kitchen counter. Theo retrieves it and gives it to the guard, who leaves.

9:05 AM: There is a knock at the door. Nerina and Theo open it. Eve is out there, meowing. Nerina notices that the Kalosian guard is watching them from down the street. She attempts to scoop up Eve, then realizes that this Eve is an illusion. (The real Eve is at the table.) The Kalosian guard suddenly collapses in the street. Nerina rushes to him and removes his helmet, only to find the armor empty. Theo follows her. The armor disappears. They proceed back to the house.

9:10 AM: Nerina and Theo enter the house. Dorian is standing there, holding Eve in his arms. Nerina begs her to give him her kitty back. He disappears. Nerina ran upstairs and found (Real) Eve on her bed. Theo followed her upstairs, only to find that the door of his room is locked from the inside. There is movement downstairs. Nerina locks Eve in her closet. They sneak downstairs, spells at the ready, and fire the spells at... Dorian Adler. (They miss wildly.) He gets up, tells them that they had a very pleasant morning, and then wipes their memories a second time. He exits. So now, both Nerina and Theo remember:

4:30 AM D3: Theo wakes up, Jamalade

4:45 AM D3: Nerina wakes up, Jamalade

5 AM-9:20 AM D3: They have A Pleasant Morning.

9:20 AM: Nerina realizes that she's crying. She hears noises from her closet, and goes up to find Eve, who tears out of the room (as cats trapped in closets frequently do).

9:25 AM: Nerina and Theo go back to bed.

Eve is the only person in the house who remembers any of the actual events.
