Moonsilver Cane (Artifact Zone)

A tyrant-lizard bone and moonsilver artifact made for and used by the The Crimson Mask as assistive tech. The cane is a simple tapering rod of bone thinly plated in shimmering moonsilver, with a tyrant-leather wrapped handle and hanging strap, by default roughly three feet long and about a half-inch in diameter on average. It can be attuned for a single mote. When attuned, it automatically adjusts to be the proper length for use in the exalt's current shape. If resonant, exalt can spend 3 motes and sharply rap the cane on the ground to get a coarse but accurate understanding on where all objects touching the ground are in Short range (If the ground surrounding the impact site is soft, like loose sand or mud, range is shortened to Close). This does not provide detail finer than roughly an inch square and cannot detect items that do not contact the ground within that range. The exalt is still vulnerable to trip wires, fragile terrain, and similar hazards, but would notice a hidden door or a covered pit. This effect only covers how the area looks the instant the cane strikes the ground; moving objects/living things and shifting terrain must be recognized as moving through other sensory means, and changes made to the environment after the artifact is used in this way must be discovered either through further expenditure of motes or other sensory means.

("Other sensory means" in this context excludes all forms of sight, as this artifact has no purpose for exalts with any level of vision that would not render them disabled—it is a Lunar's assistive tech, and serves similar purpose to a real-world white cane in 99% of contexts.)

Due to the layer of moonsilver covering it, it can function with the Dreaming Pearl Courtesan charm Elegant Weapon Repertoire to have any of the effects listed (however transiently for ones outside its usual shape), so long as the user is resonant and attuned.

Fallen Bird's Majesty Cape

A beautifully crafted cape made of feathers from several species, including junglefowl, ravens, parrots, and kingfishers, that, when worn and attuned (for 3 motes), makes the wearer's words have an easier time moving the hearts of listeners. It is genuinely massive normally—there are a lot of feathers in a cape nearly six feet long—but feels as light as finest silk if attuned. Created by the Deathlord Absolute for the best of his very few Abyssal vassals, as a reward for exceptional service, there are technically multiple copies—each is visually unique to the Abyssal it was made for, but the effect is the same. The one worn by Wander is black at the shoulders and slowly shifts to violet to magenta to red, all shining with an unnaturally bright iridescence. All are held together with various shapes of mundane metal clasps that have a perpetual eerie black tarnish regardless of how often they're polished or if the metal tarnishes black (or at all) normally.

The cape adds 2 dice to the pool for all social rolls that involve trying to directly manipulate a target's emotions in some manner when worn while attuned. Indirect methods, writing, and methods that involve a broken line of sight do not benefit from the cape's effect.
