The Setting

29992176_BSKEASfUtcVsPwv.pngNoko-Coco Island is a small landmass in the middle of the Pacific Ocean near the equator That had somehow remained undiscovered by humans until recently. While humans stayed unaware of Noko-Coco and it's non-human inhabitants the Seskies living there had been visiting human lands for centuries, taking notes of their advancements, trading crops, learning from them and making sure to never get involved in their unsavory businesses. Seskies looking mostly humans it was easy for them to blend in unnoticed. A couple decades ago Human discovered the island and eventually were allowed to lives there under strict rules. Only a select few are permitted to visit or move in after a thorough background check.

Humans tend to live in standard/normal houses while Seskies prefer their more advanced pod houses. Pod houses might not look "cozy" to humans but Seskies are not really interested in soft covers and fuzzy pillows. The cold metal boxes they live in is much more welcoming to them as it keeps them away from the equatorial heat and don't have to worry about wetting the carpet after an underwater hunt. There are of course exceptions to the rules with human taking joy in living in hightech soda cans and Seskies enjoying blanket forts and flower curtains.

There are almost no food stores on Noko-Coco Island as Seskies fish and hunt on their own as well as have in-home farm plots. One general store has been added after the arrival of the humans. It sells a wide range of things from local foods, imports, clothes, tools and medicine. This is the only place where money is used regularly as most of the inhabitants (mostly, if not only the Seskies) do not use money and rather trade goods and services between each other or even help each other for free.

The Seskies

Seskies are very human-like in appearance, with shoes and clothes on they are hard to tell appart from a normal human.

The main differences include:  being able to hold their breath underwater for up to 4 hours (opposed to human's 2 minutes), shimmering soft scales on their shoulders, back and hips as well as webbed feets
