Nephfei: Cro's Extended Lores

A large conglomerate with a mission statement of bringing harmony between the land and the sea. Their public facing activities involve Triton University and the New Celis Zoo. Behind the scenes, the corporation funds "secret projects", whatever that means.

Triton University: Learn together, grow together. A highly competitive school that accepts one student from abovewater each year. They claim to promote interspecies relations, but so few non-merphin students are allowed entry that it mostly just puts an uncomfortable spotlight on them. Due to merphins secretive nature and proximity to their tech hub, many locals are against allowing the air-breathing students to study at Triton U.

New Celis Zoo and Rescue: Famous (infamous?) for their "spinxyn exhibit", this zoo attempts to establish scientific understandings of the world of Nephfei. They have livestream cams of wild animals brought in for rehabilitation. Most animal patients are released back into their natural ecosystems, but some remain at the zoo if they don't fully recover.

There are rumors that the Triton family makes their money via selling weapons and biotechnologies but there is little to no proof of anything shady.
