Katinka - Chronicles of NeoPaneruga - ENGLISH
A story about animals living on different fantasy planets. A war starts and a long journey lays ahead, full of colorful creatures and dangerous adventures in which Katinka and her friends will be quested to recreate a planet once known as Paneruga.

Fink's Potions💬
Katinka finished a race with Naomi between the palace and Weasel Hill. An air race. Naomi won, surprisingly for Katinka.
„I can´t believe I still can´t beat you“, she laughed and tackled her playfully.
„Just because you can levitate, fall and a mix of both, doesn´t mean you can fly or even outfly me, Katinka. Wings make the difference“, Naomi smirked.
Some other panerugas who watched their race joined them. Luhra said excited: „What if we could add wings to our bodies?“
„We could craft some“, Flox thought about it.
„Silly, she means getting wings through some kind of magic from one of the witches“, Pyrit laughed.
„Hmm.. That would be possible. It wouldn´t hurt to give it a try. .. Unless you crash. Then it would hurt terribly or might even kill you“, Naomi grinned.
Katinka wasn´t sure: „Wings would be damn cool but I think I prefer using my gravity control. But maybe Fink has something in her shop that gives wings not permanently. I´d like to give it a try at least.“
„Should we go then and visit her? Were was her shop again? In Ash Wood?“, Flox asked.
„Yep, Ash Wood. But I won´t join you. I have some important things to do now“, Naomi said, stretched her muscles and flew on a branch, to take a nap.
„That´s okay. Thanks for the race, Naomi“, Katinka waved goodbye to her.
„Once we´re back, I´d like to race you too“, Luhra smiled.
„You can try, kid. You can try“, Naomi smirked with already closed eyes.
Katinka, Luhra, Pyrit and Flox took the portal to teleport to Ash Wood. The darkest forest of NeoPaneruga, with gray ground and black-ish trees. But glowing crystals everywhere!
„It´s so pretty here. Dark, a little creepy but also pretty“, Flox said and studied one of the crystals, that crew out of a tree stem.
„Your majesty“, a voice behind the group said. It was Fink, „I was hoping you would visit me soon. I made some fun items I would like you to check out and approve me to offer in my shop.“
„That´s perfect timing. We´re looking for some fun items just now“, Katinka laughed.
„I bet you do“, Fink laughed too and guided them to her shop. It was a den with a couple of wooden branches used as shelfes. The walles were covered with light strings and glow stones. There also were a couple of braided baskets that smelled like they hold different kind of herbs and flowers.
„This place gets cooler and cooler!“, Pyrit said and Flox nodded in agreement.
Fink jumped behind her counter, which was a wood stem that had carved holes on her side in which she stored small goods.
„It came to my attention, that some panerugans like transformations. May it be transformations into other species or just to add certain features to them“, she started.
„You can turn us into other species?“, Luhra wondered.
„Of course. I already did that to some“, Fink giggled.
„Is it possible to get a transformation only for some time?“, Katinka asked.
„It is. Everything is possible. Especially in the beta phase of these spells, I prefer to make them work only temporary. Right now, I´m trying to figure out, which way to comsume and store these spells. Berries don´t last very long. So I was thinking about using nuts for these. But nuts are also food. Food I didn´t want to waste just for experiments. So, for my beta versions I used water“, she put some small bottles on the wooden counter, „This one gives antlers, this one makes your fur super long, this one gives wings and makes your body able to use wings. Wings are useless if your too heavy to lift yourself with them.“
„Wings!“, Luhra shouted, „Can we try them?“
„If Katinka approves“, Fink nodded and waited for Katinka to respond.
„I do. And we will report back to you how it went“, she replied.
„Then take it. I will prepare other free samples for panerugans to try. If they like them, I will start searching for nuts and create some spells that shall effect one permanently too.“
„How about permant effects one can control to show up. Like.. putting them on and off at will?“, Flox suggested.
„This is an amazing idea“, Fink thought, „I will see if I can do that. Pff.. Who am I kidding? I will find a way to.“
So the group went back and woke Naomi up.
„What do I see there? Someone got a pair of wings!“, Naomi jumped down and checked out Luhra´s new wings, „Feathered. Suits you better than webbed ones I guess. Not my preference though“, Naomi smirked.
Luhra jumped into the air and flapped her wings to fly: „I´m doing it!“
„Not bad, Luhra!“, Katinka cheered.
„Come on Naomi! Let´s see who´s the faster flyer!“, Luhra challenged her.
„Katinka, please keep an eye on her and use your gravity hocus-pocus in case she crashes“, Naomi whiskered to Katinka.
„Will do“, Katinka winked and sat down, ready to watch the next race.

Spa Day
A peaceful day started, on which the warriors had no official training sessions. In Sparkle Forest JB and her family were out for breakfast. Dusky, Mer, Curtis and their cub joined them. Jewel, a pretty female skunk walked past them: „Good morning!“
„Jewel, up so early?“, Nerdy asked, „Yep. Blaura and the others are waiting for me. We´re starting a new business together!“
„Blaura starts a business? Is she capable of that?“, JB grinned.
Jewel laughed: „Hehe.. She is good with preparing baths and taking care of mineral masks and such.“
„What kind of business are you opening?“, Dusky asked, „A spa or something?“
„That´s right“, Jewel nodded, „It will be at the beach side of Weasel Hill. Tell your friends!“, she waved and kept walking.
Flox was enjoying some private training with Dalmatian, when Jewel´s path crossed theirs as well, with Flox falling over Jewel´s tail.
„Oh no. I´m so sorry!“, Flox apologized.
„It´s fine, no worries. Hmm.. I´m taking this opportunity to inform you hard working warriors, that there will be a spa place opening today. I bet after your training, you could need some relaxing“, she pointed towards Weasel Hill´s beach.
„A spa? What´s that?“, Pyrit asked.
„A place where you can get groomed and spoiled. We take care of your claws, fur, fangs, skin, scales and so on. We have a little pond on which we offer special mineral baths. Perfect for soothing your paws after a day of hard training“, she winked at Dal.
„I don´t know... Stuff like this is nothing a true warrior needs..“, Dal thought.
„I love it! I will check it out later!“, Flox grinned.
„I like the idea too“, Pyrit said, „See you later then!“
„Oof.. Okay. I guess, I will go too then“, Dal shrugged and blushed a little.
„That´s great. We´re looking forward to see you there“, Jewel smiled and hurried to join her friends.
After their training, Flox was very excited about the spa.
„I´m sorry, I need to bring a book to JB I borrowed last week. But I will meet you there in five minutes!“, Pyrit said, rushed into their den to grab JB´s book and ran off.
„Well.. Okay, then let´s go, Flox“, Dal nodded and the two spotted friends quickly crossed Silver-Star River by using the rocks in the water as bridge.
Cecile was welcoming them when they reached the spa area. It looked pretty unspectacular but there were interesting herb smells coming from the inside of a thick bush-cave: „Welcome to the Sparkling Fur Spa. We were expecting you. Jewel told us about you. You´re our first customers!“
„Pyrit will join in some minutes“, Dal explained.
„I see. Well you two can come in already. We will lead Pyrit to you once she arrives“, Cecile smiled. Dal and Flox shared a gaze for a second. Then they shrugged and entered.
Pyrit entered JB´s den just to find out she had a visitor. „Oh.. Hello“, she greeted.
„Pyrit. Welcome“, JB greeted. Chich was there too.
„Hi Guys!. .. Do I smell Tea?“, Pyrit sniffed the air.
„HI; SWEETY! YES, YES, IT'S TEA. COME AND SHARE SOME WITH US. TEA PARTY!", Chich invited her with a kinda dark, loud but very friendly voice.
„A tea party?! Amazing! I think I can stay for a cup or two“, Pyrit smiled and joined them after putting back the book she was borrowing.
Meanwhile Dal and Flox got some special treatment in the spa and totally forgot about Pyrit for a second. Then JB, Chich and her joined them. With Chich being super noisy. She had a rough and strong voice.
Dal lifted a cucumber slice off of her eye to see what´s going on. She was laying in the grass next to Flox. Pyrit was bending over her with a bright smile, "There I am! And I brought JB and Chich."
„HOWDY!“, Chich placed her long, blonde weasel like body between them, licked Dal over her face, chewed and swallowed the cucumber slices.
„I have a feeling that the relaxing time is over now“, Flox smirked.

„Time for the market, are you ready guys?“, Moreen asked some friends who enjoyed breakfast all together in Sparkle Forest.
„I´m looking forward to expand my plush collection!“, Pyrit said and pointed at a collection of blue plushies.
„Oh.. That´s quite a few already“, Chich noticed, „I like them!“
„They´re all blue. Good taste“, Flox smirked.
„I´m sure we´ll find at least one to add to that plush family“, -E- laughed.
„Actually, I fear we might have to get a little more room if you plan to get more, Pyrit“, Dalmatian said while looking at the pile of plushies.
„Maybe…. Hey, I could try to trade some of my books! I read them anyway and don´t really need them anymore“, Pyrit thought.
„Where did you get all the books from anyway?“, Furble asked and sniffed at one of the books.
„JB and Dusky bring some from earth when ever they get the chance“, Dal answered, „But sure, if you don´t need them anymore, we don´t have to keep them around.“
„Hold on! I´ve an amazing idea!“, JB randomly joined the group, „A library!“
„...What´s that?“, Flox asked.
„Sounds delicious!“, Chich started drooling.
„You can´t eat a library, Chich. It´s a place with lots of books everyone can borrow to read, but has to return them“, JB explained.
„Ohh amazing! This way every panerugan could get to read what ever book they want! We should suggest this to Katinka and Gina“, Pyrit said, „But first: To the market!!“
„I´m afraid, I won´t be able to join you today“, Tiger said disappointed but with a smile.
„Why not? .. Having a date again?“, Moreen smirked.
„I wish. .. Well.. there was a little accident last time, that got me and Snow banned from the next two markets.. Just now, when Fink is offering free samples of stuff that gives you tentacles. Damn it“, Tiger laughed.
„Why would you want tentacles“, Furble asked interested.
Tiger just gave her a dirty „hehe“.
„..Uhhh! DISGUSTING!“, Chich barked loudly.
„If you can´t go to the market, you could help me finding a place to turn into a library!“, Pyrit suggested.
„Yeah, I might do that“, Tiger nodded.
So JB, Pyrit and Tiger went to Katinka and Gina to discuss the library idea with them, while Dal, Flox and the others went to the market.
„This is a nice idea. We should use a den close to the school! Panerugans learn reading there so having books to read close by is logical“, Gina said after listening to the idea in the meeting room of the palace.
„I know there is an unused den there. With a little digging we could easily extend it, I think“, Katinka thought.
„That sounds like an idea. We should get some good diggers then“, JB said.
„Leave this to me, I will gather some“, Katinka smiled and dashed out of the palace.
JB and the others left the palace: „I will go to the market and see if I can find something nice for my kids. Promised them to bring them something. See you around!“
While JB was trying her luck on the market, Pyrit and Tiger went back to Dal´s and Pyrit´s den, to sort out the books.
„Here we go. A nice pile of books. Maybe you can put your plushies into the shelf now. Would look better than having them laying around like.. everywhere!“, Tiger laughted.
„Yeah.. you´re right“, Pyrit said a little ashamed of her messiness.
They were almost done, when Dal and Moreen came back. With another blue plushie of course.
„Here Py, a little gift“, Dal gave her the plush.
„That´s so sweet of you! Thanks!“, she hugged the plush along with Dalmatian, who replied with a pur.
Pyjabi Clones💬
Katinka, Nook and JB were on their way to Jungle Mountains, where they should meet with Sphinx and Leqez. Leqez, the griffin who was responsable for the magical flowerfield, found new hatchlings and apparently some share Katinka´s, Nook´s and JB´s DNA.
As always when new clones are hatching, Leqez tries her best to find the DNA relatives to see if they´re ready to take care and raise their clone.
„There you are. We´re glad you had time to come. Look at this little pack“, Sphinx purred and waved with her tail to a group of puppies.
„Are they Pyjabies?“, Nook asked. Pyjabies were a species formerly native on Cogitatio. They look small and cute most of the time but once they´re old enough, they can transform into a more adult looking creature. Sometimes they prefer to stay cute and tiny though.
„They are indeed. And here are three of them that definitly share your DNA“, Leqez showed them the three and there was no doubt about it.
„We have no other clone around these days so we would of course love to take care of the ones that have our DNA“, Katinka answered for herself and Nook.
„I´m glad to hear that“, Leqez took the little look alikes into a basket.
„My den is super full with my kids running around but I don´t think another one would make a huge difference. Plus, she will be grown adult within a month. I´m sure Nerdy won´t mind us, taking care of little Pyjabi-JB“, JB said and cuddled her tiny clone.
„Great!“, the griffin said pleased, „Do you have any clue who the other DNA donor might be?“
„This one surely is from Chich. But I am not sure if they are willing to raise them… neither if they would do a good job“, JB said with a worried voice, „I will visit you again later today and bring her. If she won´t fit that role, I have no problem in taking care of the little one as well.“
„Such a relief. Thank you“, Leqez bowed, „We had two others of these and the DNA donors luckily agreed to raise them. One was from Flox. Again. I wonder how much fur she must loose… And it all ends up here in this cave magically.
„Flox really raised a lot of clones already“, JB laughed.
Short after JB brought her little clone home to introduce her to the family, she invited Chich to come to see Leqez with her. Of course Chich was in love with her tiny clone too but she did not feel comfortable, raising one. So JB took her to her home too, with Chich being welcome to visit when ever she wants, to spend time with her clone.
You cleaned up here. Nice“, Moreen noticed.
„Yep and the library should be up in no time!“, Pyrit announced.
And just a couple of days later, they could transport the books to the new library. A new favourite place for all panerugans with a passion for reading.

Let's make Music together💬
JB brought her pups and the pyjabi clones to a pup meeting in the palace, where they met the other clones that recently hatched as well as other puppies. Pyrite´s and Dalmatian´s (the unicorns) pups were there too as well as Marlin´s and Tiff´s and Gina´s and Roxur´s. E-Indigo was there, singing for the little ones.
Flox was late but when she arrived, she did with Pyrit and Dal.
„Why are we here? It´s loud and crowded“, Dal said, while wearing Floppel on her back, Flox´s pyjabi clone.
„To spend time with Flox because Poodle had other plans today“, Pyrit reminded her.
„Yeah, .. With Schnabel“, Flox said angrily turning her paw into a fist.
„Dal, look. Even Chich is here“, Pyrit smiled, seeing Chich playing with a bunch of puppies.
Flox realized -E- and was amazed: „Who is this beautiful creature with this beautiful voice?“
„It´s -E-, or E-Indigo. She´s a friend of us. .. And actually quite shy. You shouldn´t..“, Dal couldn´t finish her sentence, cause Flox was already on her way to -E-.
„What have we done to get blessed by such an angel-like voice? You´re very talented. Hi! I´m Flox“, she took -E-´s paw to give it a tender kiss.
-E- blushed and replied quietly: „Hello Flox. Y-You think, I´m talented?“
„Heck, yeah. Maybe we could sing together some time“, she said and sit down next to her.
„You sing too?“, -E- asked with actual interest, „I´ve been thinking about… Well.. maybe finding other panerugans to maybe make music together. You know? To entertain others, not just puppies“, she blushed while speaking out her thoughts.
„That would be amazing! We can totally do that. We´ll be a band!“, Flox was amazed by that idea,
„I really enjoy singing on my own. So I would not quite want to create a band. But having collaborative music events would really interest me“, -E- told them.
„Oh, that´s cool too! Hey, Dal and Py can be part of it too!“, Flox said with sparkling eyes.
„Hahaha.. No way“, Pyrit laughed, „I´m a terrible singer.
„There is more to music than singing“, -E- explained, „Maybe some of you could create suiting instrumental sound. Dusky showed me some things that are used in his world to make music with.
„Ohh yes. Yes! Like drums, guitars, keyboards and such!“, Flox shouted.
„How do you know so much about this topic?“, Pyrit wondered.
„Flox knows what she needs to know“, Flox answered nodding, „Also, many females dig you, if you´re able to use an instrument“, she whispered at Dal and Pyrit who gave her questioning looks.
„What? I don´t make the rules!“, she laughed and turned back to -E- to discuss more ideas.
„She´s not wrong there. Making music creates some kind of attraction“, Pyrit thought blushing.
„Alright, count me in. I will give it a try“, Dal said after hearing Pyrit´s words.
The other day they met with Dusky, who had the idea of asking the gnawers to create such instruments for them. At least the drums and the guitar should somehow be makeable.
Pegasus, who came from earth and knew a thing or two about earth music instruments, accepted the job.
It took her some days to finish tho but then -E- and the others could finally get their instruments.
„I want the drums!“, Flox shouted, with Floppel in her arms.
„I guess we need to learn how to use these things now“, Dal studied the guitar. It was wooden, just like the drums.
„Dusky said he is able to show us“, -E- said.
„Guess we have some dates with Dusky then“, Flox grinned, „And we will rock NeoPaneruga in no time! We will see if you´re still so interesting then, SCHNABEL!“
Pegasus wondered: „Who is Schnabel?“
„Some kind of rival of hers I guess“, Dal shrugged.
So -E-, Flox and Dal met with Dusky regulary to learn how to use these strange instruments. And once they managed to do it right, or right enough for a non humanoid creature, they tried it in front of audience.
Donut to the Rescue
Pocket Lizards became popular companions on NeoPaneruga. Pyrit´s little Pocket Lizard brought a friend home this morning.
They sneaked up on Dalmatian´s face, who woke up through this.
„Ahh!“, she shouted... „Oh.. It´s you. And .. a brown version of you.“
„What´s the matter, Dal?“, Pyrit yawned before she realized who Dal was talking to, „Ohh Freckles. You found a friend? Such a cutie“, she petted the brown Pocket Lizard, „Can we keep it?“
„Isn't it enough if one of them crawls on my face each morning?“, Dal sighed.
„Hmm.. Maybe one of our friends wants to give this one a home? I´m sure I will find a good home for the little guy.. or girl“, she took them both and went out.
First she run into JB who seemed a little frightened.
„JB, what´s wrong?“, Pyrit asked, „And where are your kids?“
„They´re out playing with Pyrite´s kids. But I´m afraid, I can´t go back into the den“, she looked at her with shocked eyes.
„Why not?“, Pyrit looked into the den.
„Be careful!“, JB shouted and wanted to pull her out.
Pyrit looked around. „Ohhh... Now I see. A ladybug."
„Terrible, isn´t it? I thought they don´t exist here“, JB cried.
„Looks scary...“, Pyrit didn´t dare to touch it. She didn´t get a chance tho. The brown Pocket Lizard dashed out it´s tongue to catch the bug. A good breakfast for the little guy.
„Haha. Well done! JB, you wont have to worry about the bug anymore. It just got eaten!“, Pyrit called out.
„What the...? Have you been raised by Timon and Pumbaa or what? Since when do you eat bugs?“, JB looked disgusted.
„I have no idea who they are“, Pyrit laughed, „But I didn´t eat it. Urgh. This little guy did!“, she pushed the brown Pocket Lizard to JB´s face. Maybe you should keep it so you won´t have any bug problems anymore.“
„They... They eat bugs?“, JB wondered, „Maybe I could use more than one. Just to be safe.“
„This one should be enough, trust me“, Pyrit put it on Jbs head, „What will you name it?“
„Hmm.. Donut. Welcome to your new home Donut. I hope the kids won´t accidently hunt him“, she thought with a nervious smile on her face.
„They´re incredible quick and are often outside anyway. But when they feel home, they will return every now and then. You wont have much additional work with him“, Pyrit explained.
„I see. Well, thank you then. Donut, I hope you will find most of your bugs outside of my den. But when ever you hear me scream, please make sure to come to my rescue, as quick as your tiny legs carry you“, JB petted the little creature´s back and took him inside.

Cooking Competition💬
| „There is a contest here at Flower Park?“, Pyrit asked excited wihle she, Dal and some other Panerugans enjoyed.„Yes. It is tomorrow and is of course about cooking and baking. Everyone can join. The winner will receive a box of Nusskuchen´s famous cookies“, Flameheart, who worked there as a waiter, explained.„That´s an amazing reward!“, Pyrit almost screemed, „We have to participate!“„Neither you or me can cook or have any idea about it. Not a good idea if you ask me“, Dalmatian said while drinking a milkshake. Yet, they decided to go there the next day again to enter.  | Nook was sharing some coconut milk with friends when Dal, Pyrit, Chich and a couple of others signed in for the contest. Once everyone gathered inside the little den of the coffee place, they got sorted into teams. Dal didn´t like being separated from Pyrit and being in a team with Chich made it even worse. Chich didn´t just chew on pretty much any of the given incredients, she also sneaked towards other participants and tested their creations.  |
 ...or what she thought is their creation. | All the participants and guests enjoyed her food and some of the other food of the other participants as well. Chich almost tried to steal Esel´s prize but could control herself enough to just eat one of the reward-cookies.  |
