For a second I was sure my eyes roiled to the very back of head, I think it may have. For the past two hours I've been riving around in the small life boat, crashing agesnt the sides and hitting the legs of my fellow men. At this point we where all tied together so none of us could just fall off in our sleep, we where all too tired to pull a man out of the water, mainly me.

The war was nearly over, thank God, but I just don't have anything more to give. Three months ago a boom hit the small collection of homes I lived near growing up in London, and my home itself. Smoke intalsion killed my mother even after a hour of her being pulled away from it, and my father died two weeks later, he wrote one last letter to me. For a while, it made it work even harder at my job, it was really a hounor to evendge my parents first hand in the air. But overtime it seemed pointless, not the war overall, and I would have crashed as many planes as I could if I just could, but really how much does one man do? Well none of my feelings on that mattered now because I was shot down along with three other men. The main pilot in the ship (I'm the co-pilot) and two other British pilots. Lost at sea was supposed to be better then crashing into the flat green land dead on impact, but it didn't feel like it then. It's only been a day and a half, just a day and a half. Josh said we where probably drifting off into French sea territory, but we'd surely be dead by then. We where all of poor health of course, but I was far worse then the other three, and they all known it. I vomited all of my leftover meals and water out. I started riving at the edge of the boat, my head and hair hitting the water many times till it was fully wet. I think I started screaming or at least making some kind of pained noise for a while without being able to stop, it got so bad at a point one of the boys had to hold my mouth shut, that's how I know I was doing it. There was Josh, Terry, and Will. I known them all for at least two years, Terry I met in collage in America actually right before the war. These weren't strange men I was trapped with, these where my friends. They where all of course in bad health and in sprites. Will had passed out a few times from the heat, and it wasn't even that hot it was more so cold then anything. But none of them where anything like me. I had no set time or place where I was for a while. Pain was the only thing I could remember. It was a pain purely in my chest and brain, and after hours of none formal riving around, I went limp. But I was awake, I just couldn't move any part of my body. Not my arms legs chest head face, none of it. My eyes where looking up at the day sky turning into night, and for a last time Terry was kind enough to pull my head out of the water. I couldn't see them of course, but I could feel every singal one of their eyes apon me. In rushed voices I heard their tones clear for the first time all day before the pain attacks started. “What's wrong with him?” Josh said in a weak mouse like tone. “I Don't know, but he won't make it the night. He'll be dead in the hour.” Said Will, and Will had been in longer then any of us, and if Will said something will happen, then it will happen. “Isn't there anything else we can do?!” Terry asked, like Will just saying that would mean I would die. “Nothing to do now but prey, but if I were you I'd pray Saul go's peacefully. He's been in a lot of pain up till now. Pray for he's soul going where he's parents did. Poor kid.” Will said, surely shaking he's head. Someone who I was sure was Terry grabbed my almost completty numb hand and pressed it too he's chest, and stayed quite. “If we land in France, or get picked up after a while, what will we do with the- uh you know, body?...” Josh asked in a 'walking on egg sheles' tone. “Good queston...” Every thing that wasn't ourselves and the rope holding us together was throw off into the sea by now. We had so much water at the bottom of the boat it was up to our stomahes. Will leaned over and held he's fingers to my neck, then he moved back to where he was before. “He's still alive, but barely breathing.” Will said. “Right, but when he does go, would we go faster if there was just three of us?” “We'll see when we get there!” Will yelled in a captainly adult way, and Josh's tone went mouse like again. “I'm only speaking logically, I mean no offense. But Saul wouldn't want us too die just for he's body.... It's not like anyone will want it back really...” Will paused. “Saul wanted he's remains too be barried with he's parents, he told me that once before in case he got shot down. How can that happen if he's in the bottom of the sea Josh?” “He said remains didn't he? Well you've seen how little of a man is left after a plane crash. Would could just save a little bit of him and barried it next to he's parents. It's better then what some men get. I don't think Saul would want us to die for he's body!” Will signed, and if I could have moved at all my hand would have trembled agesnt Terry's chest. “We are risking sinking, four men on this small boat...” Will mumbled as Josh went on. “Right. You and I have a wife at home, I can't die now out here.” Josh said. “Mhh... Terry what do you think?” There was a long pause, and then Terry just shook he's head, and I could feel the mosion of him moving agesnt my body, wish I could have seen he's face. But he did not speak. “Terry, what do you say?” Will asked grimly. “What if... he doesn't sink if he was thrown out there?” Terry asked. More sea silance started. A salt covered splash hit my head and top of my face, and the waves around us went up higher, probably hitting everyone in the face. “... I don't know. I just don't know.” Will said flatly. “Well, to be frank, here's what I think we should do.” Josh said, in a low tone. “We cut off a part of he's hair and clothes after he dies and somehow keep it safe. So if we get found at some point, God be willing, then he can be barried with he's parents. But this raft wasn't made for four, it was made for two. Just two. And we're only getting sicker like this and anouther day of this we'll sink and we'll all be dead... Saul wouldn't want that. And- uh... I don't want to die. I was going to have a baby when I got back.” “I agree.” Will said. “It's the best thing to do. But again, what say you Terry?” I felt Terry let go of my hand, and my mind swell up and puff like a infected wound. “...Well, I say that...”

….

My felt everything around me was puffy, and then I relized eveything around me was just my own body feeling red and swelled. A ruff boney hand grabbed mine and I opened my tight lids to see Terry looking down at me. Then I took in the seen around me. I known this place, I had been hear before when I hit my head agesnt the front of my plane as my body flown forward. This was where they took the injered. Around me where Terry Josh and Will. Terry looked tired like he was barely awake, and he looked skinny too. All the time I've known him he was bright skinned full faced and a rather American look, now he just looked under fed and old, and glumly sad. Josh on the other hand looked very pleased, and a little red faced like he had been rubbing he's eyes. He looked down at me in the way a man looked down at he's new born baby. And Will just seemed tired but pleased, maybe even a little proud in the face. He seemed sick almost, white faced and wavery. And all of them looked right at me. A blanket was covered up all the way to my neck, which if I wasn't so stiff I would have fixed that. I felt clean, even if unwell. My orange hair wasn't brushed but it was seemingly scrubbed and soaped at some point, and my skin felt ruff but still not unclean, someone like me having ruff skin would have probably made my parents laugh, such a little boy in the country side. Josh and Will smiled brighter when my face finally showed exspression in looking comfused. “I known he'd wake up in the hour!” Josh said. “Oh course he would, he's a strong lad. Been through enough huh? This will be something good to tell the grand kids huh Saul?” Will said, grabbing a hold of my blanket covered shoulder and shaking it in a fatherly way. My eyes fixed on Terry, and he rubbed he's neck and he's red eyes looked away. All he said was. “Hi Saul.”

Author's Notes

I hope you liked this, sorry for all of the miss spells, spell checking just really makes me hate writing and I'd rather write a lot of in-perfect stories then none at all.

yeah, I had fun making this. If you want me to make more short horror stories just tell me, I'm planning on it.
