Phantom Thief: Leo
Detective: Val

Scene 1:

Leo doing a heist and stealing earrings to make a statement and Val is the only one who got to see him and is chasing him through the museum. Leo is teasing him while Val is annoyed and Leo is like “Well if you want these earrings back so desperately, just for you~” (and i guess Leo would be rougher/more bad boy in this au), and he knocks Val out (politely) and puts the earrings on Val

Val wakes up to lights flashing and it’s his boss being like hey are you okay and Val is groaning like ugh sorry I let him get away and his boss is like hmm well good news and bad news

Bad news: Leo got away

Good news: You got the earrings back

Val: I did?

Boss: Yep with this note

Note from Leo saying he left the earrings on sleeping beauty

Its like an antique pair of earrings that has historical significance where the original owner is a princess or smth who had the earrings put on her while she was sleeping by a secret admirer

(or so the rumors has it)

Boss: How romantic

Val: That’s fucking creepy

Val: Wait... HE TOOK MY EARRINGS

Scene 2:

Val standing between Leo and the item (a crown?) and Leo is like “This makes it easier for me to steal the most priceless treasure here,” and Val is like “You’re not getting this crown.”

Leo: I'm not talking about this crown. I’m talking about you //suddenly pulls Val into his arms

Val, confused and flustered: W-what the fu—

Leo: //grabs the crown when Val is flustered, puts it on himself, spins Val back around and cuffs him to the railing// Since I’m so nice, I’ll leave the most beautiful treasure behind for tonight and settle for the crown

Scene 3:

Val: HE FUCKING SUCKS

Astrid: Okay but you literally fell for it?

Val: ... shut the fu

I also like the idea of Val being able to immediately recognize Leo when not in PT mode and Leo just acts dumb like “What do you mean?” Charming smile and Val is like “Both of you have the same smile that pisses me off.”

But bc he has no proof he can't just make accusations and he’s so pressed abt it he tells Astrid but Astrid is like umm i think you’re a little obsessed with the phantom thief. Did he actually steal your heart or smth?

Scene 4: 

Val: I'm going to tail him

Leo: Knows Val is trying to follow him and confronts him

Leo is like ah you’re free to keep me company as I go on with my day. So Val sticks close and Leo just does things like visits a cafe, attends a play, and stops by a bookstore. And the entire time he does stuff like buys Val a drink too, conveniently knows the person at the ticket booth and got Val in with him, and discussed books w Val

Them taking the subway together and Leo holding Val’s hands like “Don’t want you losing me now would we,” and Val is blushing and frowning like “Don't be cheeky,” but he doesn't pull his hand back

Ends the night with “I had a lovely date today, detective. I look forward to our next one” and Val is just “wait a minute.”

Scene 5:

Val just keeps venting to Astrid and Astrid is like “You seriously sound like you have a crush and you’re in denial. You will not shut up about this guy.”

Val: I!! DONT HAVE A CRUSH

Astrid: Then why are you blushing 

Val: I’M ANGRY! I GET FLUSTERED WHEN I'M ANGRY

Astrid: Yeah ok

What if Val is like oh yeah two can play at this game. I pretend to play along with him, get him to fall in love with me, he confesses his feelings and his identity, i say SIKE and arrest him and I WIN

Aster: Are you telling us the plot for a romance movie? Is there going to be the scene where you actually end up falling for him and you two have a star crossed, forbidden romance?

Val: What? No. Focus

Astrid: No, Aster, you’re right. That’s definitely going to happen.

Scene 6:

IMAGINE THEY END UP SLEEPING TOGETHER AND VAL IS LOWKEY FREAKING OUT BUT HE'S LIKE… calmly hanging on by a thread. You know what I mean? Like they seem calm but u feel like they're abt to snap and it's like… He expected Leo to be gone in the morning but he wakes up to Leo sleeping comfortably w his arm around Val’s waist and Val is just *record pause noise in his head*

Like oh my god. Holy shit what did we do? WHAT DID I DO?

And like they wake up and Leo is like “Oh do you have to go to work? I’ll make you a cup of coffee before you go.” And its like weirdly domestic. Val calmly acts like nothings wrong and plays along but he's losing his shit. Goes to work and after work just beelines to Astrid’s place and is like “I expected him to leave in the morning” and Astrid is like “what?”

Val: I expected him to leave before I woke up

Astrid: wait wait hold up. Start from the beginning. Why was he spending the night at your place? He being Leo, I'm assuming

Val: Because we had sex

Astrid: //DROPS THE PLATE// WHAT? YOU DID WHAT? 

Val: Okay listen. It was just part of the plan. I needed him to put his guard down

Astrid: VAL. YOU’RE A VIRGIN. OR UH... WERE

Val: What does that have to do with anything

Astrid: Oh my fucking god? Val. You told me you wanted to save sex for marriage and you just SLEPT WITH A POTENTIAL CRIMINAL BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO EXPOSE HIS ALTER EGO WITHOUT PROOF ITS EVEN THE RIGHT GUY? Val. Fucking listen to me. You’re in deep

Val: ITS FOR THE JOB

Astrid: Val your denial is so strong they gotta rename the river in Egypt after you

Astrid: I'm going bald because of you so can you at least humor me and tell me if he was good

Val, blushing: I’m not going to tell you that

Astrid; So he was huh.

Scene 7:

I can imagine Astrid and Leo never meeting before so after this incident, Leo bumps into Val and Astrid at a coffee shop and greets Val and teases him a bit and Val gets flustered and scolds him back and Astrid is just standing there like ‘Ah. He got it bad. They both have it bad.’

Scene 8:

There's also Val getting jealous and everyone being like ”Are you jealous?” and him having to say no every time.

Maybe his boss is his dad or like Val works as a PI and his fam works with the PD but Val wanted to do his own thing. But it's basically his family being like Val maybe you should drop the case and Val is like I’m f i n e

Cass: Val just doesnt want to drop the case because he wants a piece of that PT’s fine a—CK

Val: (threw a fork at Cass)

Scene 9:

Imagine Leo getting arrested and flirting in the interrogation room. he's like handcuffed to the table or chair but like he gets them unlocked HAFDOSFIODS

You know those two way mirrors? Val is behind one while someone else interrogates and if Leo flirts w them then Val is just… eye twitches and crushes cup in hand

Astrid or someone is like Val, I know you want to go in there and interrogate him but you don't have clearance or something besides you know him the best, and vice versa. We can't give him any advantages, but Leo just doesn't give any real answers and wonders where Val is, so eventually they have to bring in Val

Cass: So you’re the infamous Phantom Thief. I’ve read your files, it’s quite extensive. It’s suspicious that you’re here now seeing how you’ve slipped away so many times. I might even think you did it on purpose

Leo: Maybe I just wanted to enjoy some new company. You’re a familiar face though, but I’m sure I’ve never met you before. 

Cass: Oh, yes. Probably because I’m Valerius’ younger brother. I’m sure the two of you are familiar with each other. 

Leo: We are. Good genes runs in the family, huh?

Cass, smiling: Charming personality and a nice body? No wonder my brother likes to chase after you.

Leo: Did he say that? About the charming personality and the body thing?

Val, hissing to his dad: We are getting NOWHERE and this is sexual harassment
