The waxing moon brings future visions
Pictures of things yet to come
All the hopes, dreams and ambitions
An endless continuum
The waning moon brings up the past
Memories of times gone by
Quiet longing and regret,
A melancholic lullaby
Full moons, they show everything
From the beginning to the end
Knowledge of all the things
That we cannot comprehend
And the blessed moonless nights
They bring silence to sleep through
A few short moments of rest
Before the cycle starts anew
