Amadeus was usually away on hunts. Of course, the first celebration he'd returned for in god knows how long turned out to be a fucking mess.

A wall had come down, in the middle of the Order crowd he'd been with, when the worm had, well... Erupted from what it formerly was. The roof had come down on either side shortly after that.

As it would turn out, Amadeus was the only proper and fully trained Order Mage in the vicinity - with a handful of apprentices, with only the barest control to their magic. A handful of apprentices who had just seen the great and lauded to be almost flawless by some Archmage corrupt herself into a giant monstrous worm. It was rather just his luck, wasn't it?

He threw himself into motion when he noticed what remained of the ceiling starting to bow in.

His magic lurched into action with a sharp crack of a noise, tendrils tearing out of the air and holding the roof up, anchoring him in place - unable to move, save for his mouth or a turn of his head.

"Alright- ALRIGHT, everybody out the back entrance! I'll follow you in a moment!" Amadeus bellowed, projecting some authority into his voice to knock the shocked apprentices out of their state. They gawked at him next, and - hearing a roar from the creature that had slammed into the building - hurried out the back way.

Amadeus' tendrils disappeared as quickly as they'd come, and the roof started caving. Swearing colorfully, he threw himself out of the same exit he'd told the rest to leave by - and found them all patiently peering at him for more instruction.

"Alright-" The building crashed into a heap behind him, and after a beat, he continued. "We're going to head THAT way - behind the thing, where it's properly come from." He heard a few mumbles he didn't' quite catch but ignored them - jogging the way he'd indicated - and found they all followed behind him in any case.

Eventually, they were far back enough that Amadeus felt he could send them on their way without him - after all... what was left of Hagia needed eliminating as soon as possible - to prevent as many deaths as he could.

He cleared his throat. "Alright - you see those buildings on the far end of the city? Go to them, shelter there- help with healing and aide where you can, but keep your heads down. If sh- it ... turns about, and comes this way, you need to leave the city. Head for the countryside, warn the farmers. Now go!" Amadeus turned to eye the massive creature that was giving chase to citizens and mages alike. He squinted, studying it's movements.

There was a good number of hooves padding away behind him, off where he'd directed; he turned to ensure they'd all gone.

Three of them had not moved and peered back at him.

"...What did I say-"

"Sir. You're going to go back and fight it?" Said the tallest of the three, brow lifted.

"...Yes. Don't worry about me, you lot are largely untrained, you need to get somewhere safe-"

"...Sir." The equine glanced at the other two, before continuing, pressing forward a few steps. "...People are going to die."

Amadeus glared a touch. "-and you could be among that number, if you don't listen to me-"

"Sir. We'll listen, if you tell us how we can help- we- we can't just leave-" The man's eyes were pleading, and the other pair had edged up as well. Amadeus had a distinct impression that if he got them to fuck off, they'd be trying to help unsupervised.

"...Right. You three are going to do something if I'm looking after you, or not. Follow me then- stay behind me, and listen to everything I say." He started prowling back towards the end of town were "Hagia" raged.

"...Now. Can one of you three spark fire?"
