Up ahead, there was a violent crash; instead of the almost sluggish way it had been moving previously, the wyrm had seemed to Wake Up. More buildings were toppling under the force of its writhing.

Amadeus grimaced. "Alright... Mirek, you're with me, you two - herd the citizens away from her rampage. If you can't find an exit, Victor, make one." Two of the three young 'apprentice' mages nodded, and dashed off, while Amadeus and Mirek continued their prowl towards 'Hagia'.

Amadeus cast his head around, looking for something - and then heading for it. A large wooden beam from a building, torn in half. "Mirek- we've got to get it closer to where she is, alright? Push with me."

"Aye Sir." The pair of them set to pushing at the beam with their heads and horns, rolling it down the torn-up street- towards the raging monster.

The young mage didn't hesitate or flinch - he trusted Amadeus, and that they would save people. Amadeus only hoped he could manage to keep Mirek safe too.

"Close- Close enough lad. Now - the end of it- I need you to-" Amadeus was interrupted by an awful roar to the front of them, of the turning wyrm. Mirek startled, but it seemed as if he'd gotten the message. Sparks flew and the end of the beam FWOOSHED to life with flame.

"GOOD - now back up!" Amadeus shouted, which seemed to, fortunately? gain the worm's attention. Amadeus's magic came to life - tendrils tearing out of another reality, anchoring him where he stood, and grasping the end of the beam.

His tendrils heaved the beam up - just as the worm lurched at him, a thousand rows of teeth hungry for whatever prey it could catch.

He swung.

The pained roar that followed when flame connected to corrupted flesh deafened him.
