Something Entirely New

Stone cold wall was the only thing Koi could feel aside from her heart pounding inside her chest. She knew she should’ve shot that Lemon Bastard when she had a chance. But now, in the theater that started it all, there was no escape. Despite the amount of corruption she was exposed to, none had affected her. She tried to stop them but she couldn’t. Her desperate attempt to save Skid went wasted, and her heart shattered as Sen ejected her from the game in one last attempt to save someone. Not even Whitty and Hex were safe.

So now, in the theater with no way out was kinda despair inducing. She chuckled to herself. Ironic that the “Queen of Despair.” couldn’t bring her down but a needed to be thrown out a long time ago lemon could.

”Now then...” The monster cupped a tentacle around her face. “I suppose you need a stronger dosage is needed. One, straight from the source.” He demonically purred, before being hit in the head with something, Koi couldn’t tell.

”Stay away from her you slimy fuck.” Koi could recognize that voice and the familiarity calmed her racing heart a bit, enough where she could roll out from under the monster and next to the source of the voice. 

“Ah, it’s so good to see you Mr Dearest.” His voice was starting to sound more like a demonic crab rather than a lemon. “I suppose that your angry about what I did to your family?”

”Not just my family, but their friends too.” The purple skinned man snapped back, pulling Koi close to him. “What exactly do you want with this corruption?”

”Oh, nothing, just despair, and a good ol side of chaos.”

”Of course you would. You corrupt MY kid for the fun of it, and then torment MY KID just for some kicks.” Koi felt kinda fuzzy being referred to as “his kid.” Despite the situation.

”Didnt you do that to poor Keith?”

”I was only testing him. Nothing more. And don’t you dare bring up Spirit, he was an abusive bastard that corrupted an innocent kid.” The lemon’s mouth snapped shut with a disgusting noise to accompany it. Koi could feel the corruption seeping into the building from the others being held back outside, pounding on the barricaded door. The monster started swinging tentacle after tentacle, the duo dodging left and right until they were in the corner where Koi started.

“Kid, just know, this isn’t your fault. I saw the expression on your face at the mall. There was too much risk to shoot him there. And not for a second do I think your the cause for the whole incident going down. I’m proud of you, and I would’ve been happy to call you my kid even if this never happened.” He crouched down to her level, wrapping his arms around her. It felt so comforting to her, she almost forgot about the tentacle nearly swinging at them.

Almost.

She tried to put up a barrier to lessen the impact but the next thing she saw was a flash of light.

And a purple hand grabbing the tentacle without risk of corruption. In fact it looked like it was dissolving it? Wait purple? It was small like hers... What happened?

”Oh wow! Looks like someone has a polymerization card!” The lemon chuckled. Polymerization? Then Koi looked down. That was definitely her scarf but that was definitely not her body. 

“Enough talk.” The new figure’s voice rang out. It seemed layered?

Ok it seems like I did fuse. Koi thought. Unintentionally, but this might be enough to save everyone.

Wait this was an accident? I thought you did this on purpose trying to get us out of this mess.

Ok so that was Daddy Dearest’s voice in her/their? body.

I was trying to set up a barrier ok?!

”This twisted joke ends with you.”

It seemed like the battle was on.
