It'd been some weeks since the Feast of Flowering, since the Archmage had suddenly transformed into a monster in the crowd. She hadn't been trained for hunting mages, yet she'd done everything she could with the little power she had. She didn't have an offensive type of power, so she'd helped the civilians to get out, and then tried to use her weapons against the worm - at least to distract and help the others in using their magic without interruptions. Since then she'd been training more, not necessarily in preparation of it happening again, but because of how helpless she'd felt. She had pushed her limits with her magic, and while it had tired her out more than she'd ever been, she could feel herself getting less tired as the weeks had gone by.

She wasn't by any means invincible now, of course not, but she was stronger. It took a longer time before she grew tired, and she was able to expand the void now. She could now store her weapons in there, or even her armour. It made it easier to have it on her without it taking a physical toll on her. She'd used it as a storage since. And she'd taken it with her today, one of her weekend off, as she went on a trip out of the city.

While training and duties filled her mind these days, she had also gotten more worried about the state of things in general. If someone like the Archbishop could turn like that, who would be next and how would she defend herself? Not only that, but her family, her squad, her friends too? And those without magic, those she knew but were far away from? It was an uncomfortable thought, one she didn't want to think further about, but she figured it would be good to be in favour with Grace. She didn't usually give much thought to Grace, or Fortune or even Destiny, but something about what had happened made her more open to these things. And besides, it couldn't hurt to leave something behind to appease Grace and hopefully start feeling like things would look up soon.

The shrine she was going to was small, and rather far out in the countryside, but she felt that the few ones in the city were too busy. Besides, after being surrounded by people all day for a week, she appreciated the opportunity to take a stroll alone for a bit. The countryside outside was nice as well, a welcome change of scenery from the training grounds she was usually surrounded by. Reaching in to her pocket, she pulled out a little trinket from her childhood. She'd held onto it for its memories, but she knew that she couldn't just send some nice words Grace's way and let that be it. And while the she was fond of the familiarity and memories the trinket held, it felt like a good thing to offer Grace. And hopefully Grace would think so too, and give her some peace of mind from the worries she'd had.
