Event: the Scribe - DAY 6

Juno had heard of the scribe, whispers from hushed tones of a few coastal towns didn’t go unnoticed by the Hero, and so he decided to pay a visit, following the whispers of the wind carrying him the entire way. Leaping off the beaten path, hidden trails and markers, bounding across stones stained from sea foam, led Juno to… an island and an unexpected revelation. He paused, taking in the biting wind and the taste of the salt spray, a world away from any Titan, and prying eyes in towns, and any worried looks from Taavi or Håkan.

It was a moment, to think to himself without hiding, with freedom to go through his anxieties and insecurities. And he broke. Juno, the famed “Hero” who would rid them of the Titan, fell to the sand and sobbed, and cried, and yelled till his throat was sore.

All he needed, was some space, a circle of trust, and he needed… Taavi. and Håkan. His… family. Not his birth family, not the cold, calculating eyes of the Sky and Sea city’s citizens. But warm gazes, quiet nights, and no secrets (within reason, he added to himself lightly).

As much as he was being trained, and living on the ship with them, he still held the weight of the world on his shoulders, hidden behind lock and key, with his worries filed away in his own mind under, ‘for future consideration.’ He was not built for the purpose he was given, but he knew this wasn’t a problem to ignore.

And then he thought of Taavi, the loud-mouthed captain who could talk his way out of any situation, who had taken him in without question, without a care, because that’s who Taavi was. And he knew that. So then… who was Juno?

Well, that’d have to be filed away, for future consideration.
