Taavi saw him first, and Håkan wasn’t long after. He nearly blended in with the two who’d spoken to them, a hidden blend between the two worlds. After brief goodbyes, the three were left alone.

Taavi, he remembered the fox’s name, spoke to him first.

“We’ll get you acclimated to the ship, I assume you have your sea legs, all things considered?”

“Yes, there’ll be no issues on the ship concerning me.” He replied

Time was spent more on getting comfortable and finding a place for Juno to work before training began, at least that first day. After that, Håkan, apparently, took this as his cue to bother Juno with every question he could think of. He couldn’t grasp how a fox this young had founded a successful pirate ship and crew, but maybe that would be learned in due time. Taavi and Håkan had welcomed him with open arms, as if he’d always been on their ship from the beginning. Like they were old friends or family reunited. Juno had thought the first week would’ve been awkward, but he nearly believed he was born and raised in this land from the way he was treated. For now, he enjoyed his time watching the waves and especially took interest in conversations with Taavi, he had a lot to say and Juno was always listening. (224 words)
